That said:) The following are leftover ideas/writer notes left in the game files relating to Rance and Chaos' conversation. Unfortunately, it's mentioned at the end that these lines are not to be taken too seriously, but I'll let you be the judge of that. I've roughly translated them here. Spoilers ahead: Chaos: "Meeting you, Rance, made me happy. You're really an amazing man." Chaos: "See, back when I was human, no matter how hard I tried, I could never defeat even a single Fiend." Chaos: "I wanted to be able to kill them no matter what... That's why I took on this form." Chaos: "When Gai became my owner, I had high expectations. I thought: this is it, this is my chance to finally kill some Fiends." Chaos: "Oh, by the way, Gai... That’s the dude who later became the Demon King. He was really incredible." Chaos: "Much stronger than you, cooler too, but... also way more naïve, I guess." Chaos: "Instead of defeating even a single Fiend, he became one himself." Chaos: "After that, I was kept underground to seal Jill (Gele)..." Chaos: "Then I met you. Hmm, at first, I thought you were gonna be useless-another disappointment."
