- Cebu took things to the next level with this incredible experience. There are literally Thousands of Sardines all in one place, just waiting for you to swim with them. Moalboal in Cebu should definitely be on your itinerary if you are looking for fantastic things to experience in the Philippines. The Sardine run is there all year, everyday, there is no particular season which is very rare and means that you can see the sardines at any time.
We got very lucky because our daughters swimming teacher Chie was also there by chance, and we got to surprise Story with a mermaid show next to the Sardines of Cebu. She loved the experience and we now have some amazing memories to treasure forever.

There have been many bloggers who blogged Moalboal and its rich sea life, BUT, you are the first to show it's true beauty. Vloggers always shows the "dirty" part of Moalboal and that's what I've been used to. I had no idea it was that beautiful of a place (the garden, the beach, the ocean, etc). The artistry of your filming and the narration was sort of like a documentary. Your filming style has advanced very well.

I still remember those days when Story was just beginning her swimming lessons. And look at her now! Such a confident strong swimmer. Wow! That was such a heart-warming surprise meet-up with her swimming teacher. That look on her face when she saw her. ❤

8MilesfromHome, the next time you are on Cebu, try to experience juvenile sharks gathering in hundreds and in frenzy on the southernmost tip in the island in Santander(not Spain) town. Though, you cannot swim with them but, at least, you can see them , hundreds in frenzy from a viewing deck in a cliff. This was recently discovered by diving enthusiasts in the area.

The best bit for me was hearing Story narrate this adventure from her perspective while listening to very soft BGM. You made her be the mermaid she is in water in those really cool shots.
Story has really adapted well to island life in the Philippines. We are happy to see her grow up in our country and she has become a Filipina mermaid.

Oh my God! I feel like I’m Story’s aunt.😂 I saw her when she was just learning to swim with T Chie, and now she’s swimming in the sea. I am so surprised to feel emotional. Lovely to see her so graceful in the water. Lovely to see (I think for the first time) the whole family frolicking in the water.
