"ORIGINS" is the mod that the map developer is working on - for YEARS - and it was simply great back in the day. I played hundreds of hours on that mod. It featured something lacking from most DayZ standalone maps, and that was the true end-game loot on the island - which was REALLY hard to get due to the very difficult AI. It was a super fun mission to get in there and back out with the goodies. The other thing that was really cool about it was the 'hero' and 'bandit' ranking system, based on who you killed. Skins for each got progressively cooler, and were only available once you reached the higher levels of bandit or hero. All kinds of boats, helis (including my favorite, the Praga heli), aliens, flying fortress, crafting galore and super easy base building - it was great. I really don't know why he's waiting so long, it's like he is teasing us with "updates" that never come to pass.
FrankieOnPcIn1080p was a absolute legend when it came to DayZ. Him, Jackfrags and SadaPlays was so nostalgic back in the day. They are the reason for my obsession with DayZ today. Love the vids man! Keep up the good work!

I didn't have a gaming PC so I used to watch him and others play dreaming of the day I would be able to experience it for myself. *FINALLY* DayZ standalone came to consoles so I purchased it then Livonia when it released! Even paid for my own Nitrado server for like 6 months so I could practice and learn the mechanics. Sadly my PS4 took a shit last year but it's available on Xbox Game Pass so I've been playing DayZ on my tablet using a PS4 controller! 😂😂😂 I love that about Game Pass; no console needed! Just put the app on your tablet, phone, laptop, Android TV box, etc and for $15 a month you've got access to some really good titles. Anyway, if anyone actually read all that thank you and I'm sorry. One of my favorite DayZ content creators is FubarBundy. Him, RunningManZ, WOBO, AmishZed, are really good if anyone hasn't checked them out yet.
You should look into the OG Arma 2 map Panthera. That map is honestly one of the if not best modded map created for the DayZ mod. I reached out to the map creator IceBreakr a couple of times to check if he was porting it to the current DayZ and his response was that he gave permission to one team and they scammed/stood him up so he hasn't done anything with it since. It's a shame no one is bringing Panthera to the current game but maybe if someone high profile showed enough interest it might bring it around.
It is such a shame It was my favorite map back in Arma 2 Dayz, played it all the time. It's also why I haven't played Standalone that much, I have been waiting for Taviana to come to it, but now that I know that it probably won't ever happen it's a big letdown.
I missing Taviana, Origins Mod for Arma II, with all its features was bigger and better than DayZ mod itself. I rather play DayZ Origins Mod than first years of Standalone,. Its inspired by Chechoslovakia and Aland Islands on Baltic. :) With mixed parts inspired of Balkans.

Taviana was the most fun map by far. I remember the green byplane with a machine gun under the propeller and how i use to get into airbattles with it. The spawn rate of the planes also made the gameplay less slow, since you could take one plane from one Island to the other to pick up a friend.
In the end it’s his property, and he’s making a game based on the map. It is sad, yes. But still his property and choice :/ I’d wish he’d start putting 2-3 official DayZ servers up but that won’t happen. His game is also.. yeah

Under bohemia TOS any mods you create have to adhere to this "You also agree that We allow other people to use, copy, modify and adapt Your content under the terms of this license." Im not sure what grounds the creator has to block people from using it but its suspect.
I've alot of fond memories of taviana from the Arma 2 days, specifically firesfights on that huge suspension bridge and the cool checkpoint area near it.
Miss Frankie a lot. I watch jack to this day. Their arma 2 videos got me into pc gaming in 2013 lol. Watch the Dayz vids they made back then all the time I know most almost word for word dude. Some really fond memories with their videos playing in the background. Your videos are great. Keep it up buddy
Ich weiss ja nicht, für mich war sie damals in Origins schon unfertig. Das Terrain und auch das Design wirken einfach unrealistisch, es fehlen die Details und das Maplayout wirkt alles andere als logisch. Man könnte sicher was gutes daraus bauen, da ist noch Menge Luft nach oben =)
