Tan, Joey is by far the best and most popular female singer in HK today and probably during past 10yrs, Joey's cd and dvd concert have been the absolute best selling in HK every yr for past 10yr, she have just finish her starlight 14 days concert, so to say people dislike her is beyond believe. Sales figure and Award honor don't lied.
I'm sure she deserved the award, but she gave the speech right after denise ho gave her silver speech on having gone around for 10 years before getting the award. joey yung definitely got many more opportunities and chances than denise in her 10 years. Is that because of her own hard work? Definitely. But in the show business, there is always the element of other people's mercy, and joey yung has benefited greatly from that. she unfairly made herself seem the victim.
