Fantastic review of the setup. I just bought an f15 x35i and Intend on towing my e92 at some point. I do however expect to need to tune the X at a minimum stage 1 or 2 depending on how much of a struggle it’ll be.

Thank you. I doubt you’ll need a tune. The xdrive35i has more than enough power to pull your E92. It makes 300 ft-lbs of torque down low, which is helpful when pulling. Also, highway cruising should be right at its peak, where most NA gasoline trucks have to rev up to 4000rpms to reach their peak power which causes a lot of wear and tear on the transmission due to the gear hunting.
Fwiw, I towed an IS-F with my previous Audi Q7 3.0T, and it didn’t struggle. It was 333hp supercharged but didn’t have the low in torque like the 35i.

Nope that's not high miles at all. I purchased my X5M back in September last year with 47,000 miles. 2016!

Thanks for the video man. I also have a stealth hitch installed on my f85. I’m curious what the true tow capacity is with them installed... I’m seeing 6k pounds but I’m also seeing that it’s capable of towing 7700 pounds. Any thoughts?

Same question here for a F86

6k capacity is prior to Stealth hitch. 7700 is with the hitch. I believe the 6k assumes the old light weight crash bar that the beefy Stealth replaces and that accounts for the 1700 difference.

As Neil said, the 6000 lbs in the US tow rating with the OEM hitch installed. The vehicle is capable of up to 7700 lbs, and 600 lbs hitch weight. And that’s what it’s rated for in Europe.
Installing the Stealth Hitch allows you to take full advantage of the vehicle's max tow rating of 7700.

I felt like I needed to remove it due to some trucks having a tow specific tune.
