    Hi Brittnee, I wanted to let you know that I bought the small airbrush from Amazon and it worked! I also made a DYI spray booth with an Amazon box. You have the Roll Royce of spray booths and I have the low budget version!😂I did bonbons in Dark chocolate with a passionfruit ganache and they were delicious and my family loved them, which is what counts. . I wish I could send you a photo. Thanks again for the encouragement! Take care, Lian

Not letting these things get in your way of creating is the most important thing and I agree the best part is sharing with your family! Thanks for the comment! :D Send me a pic on instagram or my email linked in my YT bio or website!

    It's a good thing a person can't wear out a RUclips video. Do you KNOW how many times I've watched this? I finally got brave and ordered my airbrush kit through your link today. I'm picking up my compressor (same as yours) at a Harbor Freight store tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm getting a different spray booth setup, mainly due to cost, but I think it will suit me fine until I see where I'm going with this.

      @@BrittneeKay I do have a question though: Why do you put the moisture filter right at the compressor instead of at the airbrush end of the hose? I would think that the hose collects moisture too. Might a small inline water trap between the airbrush and the hose be a good idea? Or am I overthinking this?

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  Месяц назад +1

      @@tinkeroonie I have only ever put it between the compressor and the hose and haven't had a problem yet so I'm not messing with it! Mostly the water comes from the compressor so I don't think much will happen between that and the airbrush in the hose!

      @@BrittneeKay Hi Brittnee. I have been using colour cocoa butter since I started my chocolate journey during the covid years. I have had some success, my problem is keeping more than one colour at spraying temperature. I’ve tried using a yogurt maker and a warming pad without much success. Can you recommend anything that isn’t to expensive. I only do it as a hobby.

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  7 месяцев назад +1

      I also struggle with this and it is super frustrating. I have purchased a warming cabinet from Chef Rubber for way too much money and it doesn't stay at the temperature the dial says. I've tried a heat plate which is also hard to control the temperature.
      This may not be the answer you want, but I find the method that works best is just staying present and using your heat gun. Most of the time I work with one color at a time so that I can stay focused...because keeping the temper is everything. Usually I'll temper one color first. As soon as that one is tempered I like to heat my next color and while the second color cools I work with my first color. That saves a little bit of time, but also is pretty low risk as far as accidentally letting one fall out of temper. Hope this helps!@@davidgreenwood6003

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  4 месяца назад

      Depends on your cocoa butter…if it already contains white and you do a thick enough coat you’ll be fine without a background! But if the colors coating is pretty light you will want to add a white background for sure! Or if your color doesn’t contain titanium then for sure back it in white as well!

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks! No you don't want to use regular food color in the molds because they won't interact well with the chocolate plus your bonbons will not be shiny. Colored cocoa butter attaches to chocolate and is shiny and hard which makes for a great finish. Yes mine is .7mm and doesn't clog and works great! I would say it is a great size for cocoa butter.

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes! But you must use the right types of color and be sure to temper your cocoa butter. If you're a beginner and never done this before I highly recommend checking out the videos I've linked in the description to see the basic steps.
      Yes, the airbrush is a regular airbrush (or spray gun) also used for paints but if you plan to use one for cocoa butter it needs to be brand new and never have had paint or anything inedible go through it or it could contaminate your chocolates, just clarifying because I'm not sure what you mean there.

    Bonjour madame, je voudrais commencer la décoration de chocolat à l'aérographe. J'ai trouver le compresseur que je vais acheter mais j'avoue que pour les pistolets c'est plus compliquer de trouver de la qualité pas trop cher. Je voulais donc savoir par rapport aux différentes tailles de buses qu'elle pression en bar mettez vous au compresseur ? Car sur la plupart des offres d'achat que je vois sur amazone Belgique pour les buses 0.2; 0.3 et 0.5 ils conseillent 3.5 bar mais un chocolatier que je suis conseil 4 bar donc je ne sais pas trop quoi faire. il utilisent un pistolet iwata 0.5 et 0.8 mm. Je ne sais pas si cela fait une différence ou pas. Je voudrais un pistolet avec le mécanisme de pression sur le dessus pour injecter l'air et le beurre de cacao. Je sais qu'il y a beaucoup de chef qui utilisent du 0.5 mm et d'autres du 0.8 mm pour que le pistolet ne se bouche pas. Quel marque de pistolet me conseiller vous et si vous connaissez un modèle de qualité cela m'intéresse. Malheureusement pour moi la marque Iwata est hors de prix. C'est pour cela que je viens vers vous pour avoir la possibilité d'acheter un ou des bons pistolets. Bien à vous. Rosalie

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  2 месяца назад

      It depends on your PSI and airflow settings on your airbrush. You could potentially push the cocoa butter through if it's thin enough and the air pressure is high enough. You can also pull your needle back a little bit to help with this, but sometimes that can cause leaking. The only way to know is to try! : ) I've never tried .3mm so I can't say for sure one way or another. I say test it out!

    Hello Brittnee🥰
    I was wondering if you can help me. I want to color my chocolate for enrobing my truffles. Is it possible to color my white chocolate with my ccb or is there a more accurate and correct way without changing the thickness and taste of the chocolate? I tried fat-soluble color and it tempered perfectly yet the flavor was weird.

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  3 месяца назад +1

      You can use pre-colored cocoa butter to color white chocolate or you can can use powder colors! Similar to the ones that you’d use for coloring cocoa butter. I would recommend that because they are most potent and also won’t change the texture of your chocolate as much!

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  2 месяца назад +1

      If you use cocoa butter I think you would be good to heat both above 40ºC and then just temper them together! :)@@user-uc6ki1nu6t

    Great video on the spray gun and new container to minimize spray gun/paint.. unfortunately a bit out of my budget quite yet.. still not good enough to justify it but with your videos, I will get there. Regarding getting a compressor, from my own experience, you might encounter some issues.. when I used my spray it went all over and your space is limited... I hope your new container will work and you won't have any issues.. when using the new container...will see in future videos.. 👍🏽❤ 13:49

      You’ll need a compressor with the same specs I show in this video! Look for a quiet one that goes up to 80 psi 🙂

    Hey Brittnee, my paint keeps coming out splattered (same machine and airbrush), not sure why? Any idea on what I can do to resolve this?

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  Месяц назад

      When it’s splattered it means the pressure is too low and there is too much paint. The higher pressure pushes the paint out quicker which breaks it up smaller. So I would lower your paint flow and increase your psi or airflow! Hope this helps!

    Brittnee, I am wondering why you chose that air compressor for your grex air brush instead of the grex air compressor? Aloha, Fritz

    • @BrittneeKay
      @BrittneeKay  4 месяца назад +1

      So I actually had already purchased that air compressor for a spray gun I bought. And the spray gun was using too much air. I spoke with Grex and they recommended the airbrush because they use less air and are more efficient and he told me the compressor I already have is perfect for the airbrush! 🙂🙂
