My family regularly spent around $900 a month at Woolworths however we changed to another outlet last year and have reduced our grocery bill by about $150 every month
Yeah, the survey indicated that Woolies and Coles charge more than a third more for an equivalent basket of groceries than ALDI. Which is about a $225 saving on a Woolies $900 spend.
The gov needs do something to make it easier for more grocery chains to enter the market and also should make it so if a big grocery chain buys land it needs to start operating by ‘X’ date otherwise land goes to the gov to sell at a reduced cost to a competitor
Why just grocery chains? What about other areas of consumer protections? Government seems pretty selective of who it chooses to go after and when it does these things. I'm not impressed by announcements by politicians who say they're "looking out for the average Australian" when they have no inkling of who that is or how they live their day-to-day lives.
Like they went after all those who were recommended for prosecution following the RoboDebt Royal Commission? Remind me again how many people were put on trial and sent to prison for the roles they played in this illegal scheme that cost some people their lives?
ACCC was to keep on petrol stations because they put the prices up Than the Banks Then Qantas CEO Big companies Internet connection Australia pays more but gets less Since the covld 19 to now things went up by 30% to 200% Before Covld 19 i used to but two or 3 shopping bags it cost between $50 to $70 now its one bag Internet connection went up 3 times in one yr but very connection before we had no problems at all
Our local shops had 14 stores now there is only 1 left and the rest are boarded up graffiti all over them and windows smashed All because of this economy The fish and chip shop closed even the post office closed Literally everything is dead It Literally looks like the ghetto nowadays in Elizabeth East
Voters don't deserve to be treated as fools.
