They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 "Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It could be about North Korea as well after all. It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. All in all this is a fantastic release! I don't know what title tracks you reacted to, so I'm recommending two b-sides to you: "Sahara" is a more rocky song and "Poison Love" is more EDM. Both are self-made MVs, which introduce you to the humor of the Dreamcatcher ladies.

When my friend played their music for me -- we often do Spotify listen-alongs -- I said Dreamcatcher's music would fit in an anime/tv show, so I fully see where you come from. I definitely stan boy k-groups more than girl k-groups too. (G) Idle is one exception, but I got into them through KDA before I was properly introduced to Kpop (Riot Games' virtual group if you didn't know about them -- Soyeon and Miyeon from (G) Idle lend their talents there)

YAY new reaction to my ult group. No worries if you don't want to stan them, if you're a boy group stan, you're a boy group stan. No hard no foul. They are amazing, not only talent-wise but also as people. They don't act like a typical girl group, and typically go more towards a boy group dynamic. They have great content outside of their MVs, and a channel called Insomnicsy has a great introductory series to each of the members and the group as a whole called "This is..."

So glad you enjoyed Vision, I love the Dreamcatcher girls and their sound. I also prefer boy groups over girl groups, purely because I love dance and boy groups tend to perform more intense, complicated choreography which appeals to me. That said, I do have a few girl groups that I enjoy: (G)-idle, Dreamcatcher, Purple Kiss and Itzy...I'm never going to stop recommending Hwaa by (G)-idle to you, it's so damn good lol. Yeah i totally understand you cuz i am actually the contrary , i enjoy girl groups more and i do listen to other songs that fit my taste from some boy groups but i just can't bring myself to Stan any or do a deep dive on the group.
I love Dreamcatcher. They are the top girl group that I like. The other one is Mamamoo. It's kinda funny....I got really into K-pop because of Dreamcatcher. I had, of course, heard of BTS, but I had never really liked any of their songs enough to actually go looking for more. After listening to one of the few songs of theirs that I liked, RUclips recommended Black Pink to me. I liked their sound, but their lyrics actually kinda got boring. So I went looking for more hard hitting music that had interesting lyrics....And I found Dreamcatcher. I saw Deja Vu and was blown away. So I looked up more songs, and really liked their discography. So they became my fave group. I found Mamamoo soon after, and I loved their sound too. But DC edged them out as my fave girl group. I still went looking though. I was listening to any K-pop that came across my recommended sidebar. That's how I found Stray Kids and Ateez. Those two have remained solidly at the top of my fave boy groups. I haven't found another to really join them. I have yet found another boy group that I like most of their songs. One or two of them, yes. But not all. Except....I also found another group that doesn't fall into one or the other groups I liked previously. Kard. One of the few Co-Ed groups I have found. And with a bit of Latin vibes happening with their beats & lyrics. I don't really know how many people even know of them....Other than the few TikToks of SKZ looking anywhere but at Jiwoo when she stood on the table to perform at AAA (and SKZ had sat at the wrong table to begin with. They still hyped her & Kard up though), and BM making Bang Chan a member for the Big Tiddy Comity. So. If you haven't looked into Kard before, I would love to suggest them for a Feature Friday sometime. They have a bit of a party vibe going on in a lot of their songs. (Dumb Litty, Bomb Bomb, Ring the Alarm, Red Moon) But they also have some deeper songs. (Me In You, Don't Recall, Gunshot) They are worth checking out.

I love Dreamcatcher. They are the top girl group that I like. The other one is Mamamoo. It's kinda funny....I got really into K-pop because of Dreamcatcher. I had, of course, heard of BTS, but I had never really liked any of their songs enough to actually go looking for more. After listening to one of the few songs of theirs that I liked, RUclips recommended Black Pink to me. I liked their sound, but their lyrics actually kinda got boring. So I went looking for more hard hitting music that had interesting lyrics....And I found Dreamcatcher. I saw Deja Vu and was blown away. So I looked up more songs, and really liked their discography. So they became my fave group. I found Mamamoo soon after, and I loved their sound too. But DC edged them out as my fave girl group.
I still went looking though. I was listening to any K-pop that came across my recommended sidebar. That's how I found Stray Kids and Ateez. Those two have remained solidly at the top of my fave boy groups. I haven't found another to really join them. I have yet found another boy group that I like most of their songs. One or two of them, yes. But not all. Except....I also found another group that doesn't fall into one or the other groups I liked previously.
Kard. One of the few Co-Ed groups I have found. And with a bit of Latin vibes happening with their beats & lyrics. I don't really know how many people even know of them....Other than the few TikToks of SKZ looking anywhere but at Jiwoo when she stood on the table to perform at AAA (and SKZ had sat at the wrong table to begin with. They still hyped her & Kard up though), and BM making Bang Chan a member for the Big Tiddy Comity. So. If you haven't looked into Kard before, I would love to suggest them for a Feature Friday sometime. They have a bit of a party vibe going on in a lot of their songs. (Dumb Litty, Bomb Bomb, Ring the Alarm, Red Moon) But they also have some deeper songs. (Me In You, Don't Recall, Gunshot) They are worth checking out.
