I’m 74 and have exercised all my life starting at age 8 with 12 years of ballet/6 days a week. In my 20’s I ran and lifted weights. Kept at it until in my 60’s I developed plantar fasciitis. Now I walk, row, lift weights and do yoga. I am constantly told I look 50. Honestly, I feel 35. I don’t dress frumpy. I’ve always worn classic style clothes. I actually have friends in their 20’s who tell their friends about my routines and my fashion. It’s in my genes, my Dad just turned 98 and still very active and a clear mind…..exercises daily and reads constantly. I’ve been blessed with good health except for melanoma a few years ago caught by an astute dermatologist. I owe her my life. I’m always telling people to have annual mole checks.
    Thank you for your videos.

Comparing the sedentary lives & fatty diets of my mom (87) and stepmom (89) to the life of my Cuban ex-MIL (91), you can clearly see that staying active and eating healthy foods were the biggest factors in how their senior years are turning out. Mom/stepmom never worked outside the home and had maids; ex-MIL worked every day and grew veggies, had chickens, walked to work, etc - At 91, she is still working in the garden daily while the other two are bed ridden or using walkers.
Invest in your health now - it will pay off in the future!!
Thank you, Frédérique - love your show, your honesty. All the best from Florida. ❤🌴

Absolutement! I am 59 and I work in a hotel. I cycle 6 miles into work ( mostly uphill) at 4.30am every work day. Then do about 20,000 steps during my 9 hour shift. Like you I rest on my days off and do what I feel like doing. Self care is so important, for mental and physical health. My sense of humour helps with angry guests and difficult sitations generally. Thank you for your positivity.😊

Good vlog, however the models are all young, not in their 50s/60s! By the way…I love your glasses. I do a lot of the things you mention already, exercise in the mornings, I’ve just lost 24lbs and I feel fitter and healthier than I felt 10 years ago. I loved the fabric of the white trousers and blouse you modelled but I’m not all that keen on baggy styles. Your look stunning with your hair tied back. Xxx

Growing food teaches patience and gratitude which is so important in life. I also started making my own skin care using high quality organic ingredients, some even from my garden. Loved this video, especially about removing toxic people from your life. At 78 I moved to FL and now, at almost 81, I am happier than ever. It has become time to focus on who is the most important, me! I am loving the casual life style, including having toes that can breathe in sandals 365/24/7. I am having a real challenge with sizing in LilySilk. It seems that the sizing is very inconsistent, if I order correct size, the shirt will not fit over the “meno-belly”; and, the next size up is huge. Any suggestions? BTW, their one size silk bras are super comfy.

A lot of older ppl can look so much older when dying their hair, especially men. A brown that is too dark, or too saturated can really bring out your age and wrinkles. Def go lighter when you're older, even if your natural color was dark. I'm starting to get some grey hairs, and I am hanging onto my natural color for as long as possible, because there is no hair dye to match my natural color.

Fabrics: linen and hemp! Those are great in the summer and not only the summer!
They are also great as bedding: my mom still has sheets I remember sleeping on as a child and I’m 56!
I am not big fan of slick silks: I just can’t touch it. It’s sensory, but I LOVE raw silk.
I also knit and I can make unique pieces from lace to heavy sweaters.
I still wear hills, but only occasionally (maybe twice a year or so), and they are not too high.
I always exercised and ate well.
So yeah… I didn’t hear anything earth-shattering new, but a great reminder that I need to get a haircut … again LOL.
Women of all ages need to take care of themselves first to be able to take care of others. Unfortunately we learn that later in life.

Thank you for this video! I am in my mid 50s and this is such an important reminder about self care and staying current at my age. Love Zumba ! Bye bye toxic people and negativity. I rather spend time with my husband and my little dog. 🐶🙂Frédérique you are awesome. I admire your courage and your spirit of adventure. I also changed countries…Bali looks beautiful. On my bucket list. Keep these videos coming.
All the best to you, Kasia

I started watching and you talk about energy levels and exercise while some clips play of very young women. So disappointing that you didn't show women in their 50s getting out and exercising. Why not?

Im not fifty yet, but i think thats the best if u accept the aging and fight agaist it at the same time! I mean Make peace with aging, cause if u are thinking all the time that u re not in that condition than in ur 25 year, it will depress ur mood. Aging is enough, no need to put it on a shovel as well..Need to be fight, diet, sleeping, facecream, sports. And the best if u put ur focus from ur look over to ur environments, and find ur happiness in ur garden, animals, nature, art, hobby, social life. If u rich, the best is hormon treatment and plastic surgery...I wish to anybody to be happy!

I am 77. First rule? Get rid of the lumpy figure. Underwear, underwear, underwear! Buy a size that fits, not clings! There should be wriggle room in skirts and trousers so that they “fall”. Good haircut and a lifetime of skincare.

I'm 53. I'm not in my prime...that was 35. When you're in your prime, you don't feel anxious about your looks. No thoughts about botox, fillers, facelifts etc.
Menopause is awful. Gravity is also joining forces.
Eat healthy, moderate junk food and alcohol.
Focus on flexibility and try to incorporate physical movement everyday.
Best skincare advice - wear sunscreen and no smoking.
Just don't dress inappropriately for your age. We're at the age to begin covering up....not mutton dressed as a lamb - not a good look!
Think Audrey Hepburn in her 50s+
She was understated but absolutely elegant.
PS Why show images of young women at 18 - 25 glowing with 'attitude'?

To pronounce the word ‘synthetic’….maybe start by thinking the first syllable is pronounced just like the word ‘sin’ ( like the Bible would talk about). The 2nd syllable is like the word ‘threat’ ( something that is potentially dangerous) but drop the ‘r’ sound. And the last syllable is the word when something is ‘yucky’ or we don’t like it and we say “ ick”. ( like the word ‘pick’ but no ‘p’ sound. So … sin thet ick. I don’t know if that helps. Sorry, it’s the ‘teacher’ in me, I couldn’t help myself.

Hair loss at any age is not normal and especially not normal after a certain age. There are many 90 year-olds with an amazing amount of hair. All hair loss needs to be followed up with a Dermatologist as soon as it is noticed.

This top costs £120! You`ve recently made a video about fast fashion and you said that high quality clothes don`t have to be expensive... Well, this brand you advertising is far too expensive for me. And this is why women will still buy fast fashion clothes - because we simply can not afford higher quality. £120 for a shirt and more than £300 for a dress... Really?

My mother-in-law lived to be 98 and she was horribly miserable the last 13 years. She had a heart valve replacement at 85 and she wished she hadn't; she broke her ankle right afterwards so she could barely walk after that. She had always been an active person, and when she couldn't walk and her eyesight failed her, she was very unhappy (wouldn't we all be?).

Just to add, she had a grandson living with her who robbed her and left literal garbage piled up all over the house, but she wouldn't hear a word against him. It was horrifying. His mother, her only daughter, just allowed it to go on (my mother-in-law gifted her the house). My mother-in-law died surrounded by filth.
