Only questionable sub was Kane off. Sane had a howler tonight and was shattered, Davies was subbed on and scored Bayern’s goal. Even with that one questionable sub, it wouldn’t have been an issue if Neuer didn’t fumble a routine save in the last few minutes.

However, if not for circumstances out of Tuchel’s control, like the Neuer mistake and the linesman debacle, Bayern would have progressed to the final anyway. Very unfortunate. Flick, although very unlikely, would be a decent option if we don’t get Tuchel. Keep De Zerbi far away though, he would have been mauled against Madrid tonight, imagine him trying to pass out from the back and commit to attacking football high up the pitch against Madrid’s pressing machine…

I think there's way too much hype on this manager, and I've seen Brighton get cooked by Luton (4-0), Aston Villa (6-1), Roma(4-0), etc... I really cannot see another 7-0 loss at Man Utd. I think Tuchel gets too much stick; I get that he hasn't been great at Bayern and the sub for Musiala and Kane wasn't it, but a) he was brilliant with Chelsea winning the CL and PSG's best ever manager and b) I thought that call at the end was a horrific call by the ref, that was nowhere near offside and De Ligt was robbed of a goal. I don't mind Hansi Flick given that he was brilliant at Bayern, but under this system and the players we have, I feel like he'll get thrown under the bus like he did at Germany. Personally, I think Tuchel would be a better fit at Man Utd given what he did with Chelsea (taking Chelsea from mid-table to top 4 and also winning the champions league there), and I don't see him getting thrown under the bus.

If you think Tuchel ‘failed the audition’ for Man Utd after last night you’re completely wrong. Tuchel set up Bayern perfectly in a game where Madrid were the favourites.
