If I can't plan in advance I'm not going to raid more than 1 or 2. I already have a hundo, an extra meteorite, two shinies and some 400 Rayquaza candies. Would've gone hard if it had been a raid day, to get more xl candies. Not now.
The timed research most likely be win a raid that more important to claim than doing the raids since rayquaza will be back but you need the metorite from timed research to do it so might find groups on campfire for doing the raids i got to travel an hour to get to groups to them elite and shadow raids campfire allows you to move around the map to find groups.

Post raid report: The good - there were a ton of cool people there, made some new local contacts. The very very bad - only 200 energy from the raid. It's the only one I could do so no mega for me lol. I hope ya'll got to do more than one!
I went into the capital city ( Stockholm) and managed to defeat 5 raids between 12pm and 2pm. I caught 3 Rayquazas and only one of them had 3 stars IV with 15/11/13, I dunno if I should invest in that one :?

Overall the event was 10% of the fun it could have been simply due to the lack of accessibility which is caused by in person only raids but for the few that got what they came for bravo! No shiny for me but I was only able to coordinate 6 raids because where I'm from you have to drive between raids and the random nature of the spawns and short window made it nearly pointless. The games designed around cities with thriving population of players but sadly that's not the game anymore and until Niantic realizes the game will continue to be disappointing. I spent $0 instead of the $100 I would for a regular raid day so I'd love to see the profit for the day lol.
Its the weather trio Mega bonuses similar to Primal Kyogre and Groudon with rainy and sunny weather, Mega Rayquaza has the windy weather candy bonuses, which are flying, Dragon and psychic

No, you can definitely miss this event. Or you can go out for a couple hours, not find enough people to do raid, then go home feeling like a chump for wasting your time
Its not like the previous elite raids where all the elite gyms will spawn for each time slot. now theyre randomise and not every time slot will spawn. Spent 7 hours to do as much raid as i can. Due to the spawn quantity and duration being so short had to rush i can only manage 2 locations before timer run out, compounded by torrential rain weather which further inconvenienced the entire experience. They are just purpose fully making the raids hard to do to limit our catches. Only managed 10 raids in that 7 hours. Intentional abuse to the players f*k em

Niantic wants you to be social...its not hard to figure out and its not contradictory. when 2020 hit and people could not be social Niantic adapted but covid is no longer a factor so learn how to say hi to another human face to face and move on with your life...or lack there of

Use campfire and go to your local meetups, there is bound to be one in your area.
