Trailer gameplay looks good but I'm sceptical of how good it will actually look also how well it will run for a MMO with these supposed graphics.

I have a feeling that the graphics may not look like this exact same thing from what we see in this gameplay trailer, it just looks great and all but also way to good to be true, how well it would run tho Is up for debate until we actually see some actual real time gameplay or whatever it may be, it looks like they are going for platforms on console and PC so im guessing its going to be heavy, but idk its all guesses at this point, but I would keep expectations low on this.
Isn't Black Desert have similar graphics?

Lumen means bye bye huuuuuge amounts of time for good lighting results with out the need to go all the way to Raytracing wich is very heavy
Lets hope upon full release the game is as polished as this trailer.

@@MGM_Thinkif time is important to this game I can think of a way they could make it work (but they won't). Put some of the processing on the client side so that when connection is lost it can keep going seamlessly. When things get out of sync send out a master layout from the server, and use a time warping animation to bring them all together. Then in that moment hit the monster with the damage it took in each version at once.
You would also need to add some amount of this lag and reconnect mechanic to people with good connections. That way people don't intentionally cause lag to get an advantage.
There is no way the game is going to look this good on release. But... It has my attention.
yea every "gameplay trailer" is like this now unfortunately. itll look like 3/4ths as good if not worse. should be illegal to show gameplay footage as something that isnt going to be on release actual gameplay from someone playing on a highish end setup.

It could look that good considering it's running on Unreal Engine 5. Nanite is a much higher and unlimited polygon count and Lumen is more realistic accurate lighting that bounces off objects correctly, Unreal Engine 5 brings those features to the table and it looks phenomenal as you can see.

Yeah, whenever I see an MMO with eye-candy graphic somehow my mind went all skeptic on it, smells like them old Korean MMOs

I don't know. This game runs on Unreal Engine 5 and so far Unreal Engine 5 looks quite decent on PS5 and XBOX SERIES X, at least on Fortnite anyway. Although Fortnite is not really pushing a realistic art style so we gotta wait for other realistic games to come out on PS5 and XBOX SERIES X that's running on Unreal Engine 5 to see how well those consoles can handle it in the long run.

Yay, a spear class! Polearms are criminally underrepresented in gaming while they were THE weapon of choice for any army! I will try CO just for that.
Edit: I think I've seen two handed spears and also a shield and spear combo. This bodes well either for customization or class diversity.
Yep... swords were sidearms, not a primary weapon for most soldiers... its like 200 years from now all the soldiers have pistols as their primary weapon in ww1 and 2 movies made at that time...
Also SLINGS.... Slings were the most powerful projectile weapon humans had before gunpowder.
They had many limitations, but there is a reason they were still used to defend castles all through till the advent of cannons rendered castle walls moot.

this looks insane, excited its online multiplayer, but also just in general the setting and premise reminds me of AAA games like Elden Ring so im looking forward to the story of it too
We've been burned wayyyyy too many times by incredible trailers (and let's not mince words here, this trailer is absolutely incredible). Sadly, too many of us have fallen for the trick of incredible trailers only to find out that there's a truly lackluster game behind them. Whenever this comes out, and who knows when that will be, I'm gonna wait and see reviews first.
Few things are copied from vindictus but that's absolutely perfect. Vindictus was best MMORPG for me back then ❤

This is the first MMO in forever that has me excited, I hope this ends up better than new world, it already looks like it has way more. But it will come down to the end game content and grinds and what not.
im very much hoping they have the rpg chrono games lore tied into this, its a stretch but i hope they have Easter eggs at least

I was excited for this title until I seen it was a MMO, still looks cool though. This is the kind of graphics I hope the new Witcher game has or The Witcher 1 Remake has since it's being developed on Unreal Engine 5, which is the same engine this game runs on. I swear it seems like MMO games have the best trailers. I've never played World of Warcraft but I like watching the game trailers of it lol

u can see it has a weight to it. has impact as well. only thing I'd like to see is less stiffness
Lets be honest, MMOs always look good in the trailers, they remove all the clutter off of the screen and focus purely on the action of the game. It was the same with BDO. Remove the HUD, quest tracker, map, etc off of any game and it will look amazing.
I've played so many MMOs in my life and the forumula has been the same every single, there's always some form of repetive-ness or grind to them.
The gameplay looks amazing, for sure, but the very nature of the game is still an MMO.
If it we're up to me, I'd focus on making this game as a regular single-player/multiplayer game with MMO aspects (hub area, partying up etc)
Anyway, that's just me.

Everytime I see a game that) looks like this it usually falls flat and has no depth. It's beautiful sure, but I think its time people stop getting mesmerized by graphics and look for quality gameplay because that is what will have a lasting impact. Not saying this won't be good.
