It takes 2 to 3 years of Elite level Recruiting to be truly effective for an Underfunded HBCU to beat an FBS Team in today's climate. Back then all you needed was Recruiting & good Coaching because Teams couldn't instantly flip a Roster into an instant winner. Now they can if they have the Resources to back them because those are the 2 things needed for HBCU's to beat FBS Teams ( Elite Level Recruiting & more Resources ) & I can give a ton of what these Resources are 😀 Also add in Upgraded Facilities & Brand new Facilities to boot with a Celebrity Booster Club to help finance & back the University & BAM ( The Recipes for an HBCU to Dominate FBS Teams on the FCS Level 😀 ) & who might you ask can & will provide such things you may ask!? You just assumed they don't have money like the big white schools the talent is not there. Do your research the majority of Black players in the NFL during the 50s, 60s and 70s came from HBCU'S. You were big wrong. The only reason he didn't have a big freshman year was because Prime was underutilizing him. He had a decent sophomore season. It just wasn't this big spalsh people were expecting. What you said about Zion Williams and Jackson are completely off. Jackson State was sending people to the NFL for decades, and there are a handful of SWAC guys in the league right now. Look at the difference between Steph and his brother. His brother went to Duke and got lost in the shuffle. Going to JSU worked out well for James Houston, and there was so much hype surrounding Sheduer and Travis when the season started at CU. Not following Prime to CU was probably the best decision he made. Maybe he shouldn't have gone to Louisville, but he was trying to get closer to home

    • @EyeOfTheWatcher
      @EyeOfTheWatcher 3 месяца назад

      I think it all about finding the right school and the right coaching for someone to blossom. Like you said, he was underutilize at JSU and I believe it was in part because of the focus being on Travis and others. James Houston was underutilize at Florida and JSU was the right fit for him to grow and showcase. I think the youtuber, like many others, often judge schools by media presentation\promotion rather than looking at the actual facts of the schools.
