Salah should be criticised because we know he can perform better than that. He should also be praised because he scored and assisted in a champions league game despite not having a great game. That’s another part of being World Class, deciding a game with moments of brilliance even on an off day.

Will never understand the Salah criticism. He is the only world class forward you go for when you need a moment of magic. He has scored 30+ goals for 7 seasons. When will he get his respect?

Many rival fans still don't think Salah passes the "eye test" the same way other perceived top players do or have done in the past. They still think this way DESPITE Salah's stats in the EPL and CL.
Unfortunately, he gets judged on 90 minutes while others are judged on moments.
He's consistently average or poor, and was so again today. Sure, during 90 mins playing in the attack of a top team he ends up with a goal or an assist. But his normal play isn't good enough.
Whenever they start rating him, they ALWAYS try to look for negatives first and foremost! It’s quite disgusting!

I understand Matt and Cal Salah criticism, I just don’t know what you want him to do? He’s a 32 year old forward. The fact he hasn’t fallen off a cliff is already impressive. The main job of attackers over 30 imo is to score goals. Not be a complete player. You need to preserve your longevity
Totally agree. I just think some of our fans still think/ expect Salah to be the flying winger he was in 2018 lol. That player is long gone. Fans need to accept this new version of Salah. Otherwise we will have these type of player ratings almost every week.
@@deniromackz6795I’m a Newcastle fan, I’ve experienced fans get on to Shearer when he got older, had injuries and was mostly a goal scorer. I never understand why people expect players, especially attackers to be as fast and as involved in games when they get older. It’s all about preserving longevity. If Salah kept the same energy he had at 27, he would’ve fallen like Mane, Neymar, Bale, Hazard.

Salah isn't playing well, and hasn't been 'world class' for years, so doesn't deserve getting paid 4 times the other attackers. He should arguably be subbed more or left on the bench

Nobody I listen to is asking for the complete player.

Salah getting a lower rating than Szobozlai just shows how much this fanbase underrates him. If macallister had scored that goal and made that assisted these guys would have given him a 10 easily.
We know what you’re trying in do here talking about Salah gets different ratings than other players. Salah was poor outside his G/A. He was about a 5, the G/A bumps him up to an 8. Watch the game and don’t just read off stats. Clown.
Both Salah and Trent takes were wild. Salah had a few errors in his final ball but again directly contributed to both goals and had a solid performance in general. Giving Trent 4 was absolutely wild when other than 1/2 times when he was personally poor in his reading of the game or interception, he was perfectly standard in his defending. Could've even had an assist if Nunez timed his run better and was even very clever for the Salah goal. The moments we were poor were because we as a unit dropped off.
Very idiotic takes. Genuinely don't know what these guys want from these players. Just because some didn't do scintillating stuff doesn't mean they were 4/10 lol

This is to people more in the comments rather than the kopish panel but I think we constantly look for perfection which is fine however we as a fanbase can’t complain about Nunez and Diaz output and then when salah consistently hits the numbers time and time again winning us 100+ games we just dismiss it and say he was essentially a bit scruffy at times and a few of the difficult passes he tried didn’t come off. 216 + 93 now it’s 300+ g/a now off the wing for Liverpool in 361 games. He’s almost beyond criticism to me now tbh. I get it’s player ratings but when he produces 2 world class moments in a game he should just get an 8 regardless of his performance imo. He’s 32 this is what it’s gonna be in 50 percent of his games. You will miss him when he’s gone guys it won’t get better than this and if on the 0.1 percent chance it does they will go to Madrid after 3 years anyways.

I get what your saying guys about Salah I look at overall performance and it gets frustrating because he ghosts majority of the game losses possession and sometimes makes horrible IQ decisions while just coasting in the game. HOWEVER at 32 all we can hope for is moments of brilliance most forwards at his age fall off a cliff plus he doesn’t get service the way he used to ever since the 22/23 season, these past 2 and 1/2 years he’s had to split the roles of being both facilitator and scorer. In the early klopp years he was unleashed by focusing on one’s thing because his job in the system was to be an ultra aggressive striker that plays on the wing he played the least defense and even tho he got a lot of assists he was allowed to focus on one thing SCORING. The assists were a bonus back then. Now his assists are integral and he’s asked to defend a lot more under slot. so at 32 still rated harshly I feel by the rating. Even though I understand because I’m not a stat merchant and would like more of performance from our star man, but we can’t ask of that as the norm anymore with the mileage he has in a lfc shirt.

Slot uses our main striker as a decoy preferring wing players and third person run ins, hence why Jota suffers as well as Nunez. Example, 53:20 min Szobo had a great chance to pass to Nunez for a potential attack but chose to pass backwards, this happened many times. I personally do not like this formation or philosophy and prefer a more all round attack including direct when against lower quality teams. The fact that slot said he was surprised Nunez could score from that angle showed that he doesn't believe in the main striker role and abilities to get the win which is oxymoron as thats the role of the main striker not wingers. Everything is inverted now. Trying to be too clever. Football Satanism.
On a side note, there is clearly and agenda to smear nunez, Jota was shit today, only one chance in 88min by a jones pass and the live chat was silent completely compared to the nunez rating slandering from the usual suspects paid by FSG.
