During the Tom Baker years K9 was the faithful companion/ snarky sidekick/ armed backup for the Doctor, kind of like Donna Noble and Captain Jack rolled into one. The Doctor later gave him to Sarah Jane, in the original Sarah Jane Adventures. Girl and her dog, if the dog is a robot.
Why are all the Chameleon Circuit songs so damn catchy? I've always got them stuck in my head and I look insane when I start singing one. But it's so good I just can't stop listening to them :)
And none of this is anything K-9 would say. He honestly never did anything he didn't want to do. He sometimes did say "Negative, Doctor." Usually when the doctor was being stupid. He did also, on numerous occasions, state that he didn't have emotions to hurt. I'm glad that Chameleon Circuit did a song for K-9. I just wish this wasn't it. I mean, they didn't even mention that he knows nothing about tennis!

This song makes me cry, it's so sad, but I disagree with the lyrics, as Viper4382 said Sarah Jane takes care of him and love him, like the doctor, he was happy when he saw him in the season 2 (i don't remember the name of the episode sorry) , but this song is beautiful

Sure, he loves Sarah Jane, but if he didn't, or didn't want to be hers, he couldn't say so.

I don't think that's what the song is saying. I think he was a bit upset that the doctor didn't ask him before giving him to Sarah Jane. From what little I know of the relationship between Sarah Jane and K-9. It seems like they're good friends. So more or less he was a bit upset at the doctor for not asking him first, but okay with going with Sarah Jane after he got over it.
How do you know that he is happy? He is programmed to respond to questions and follow instructions in the most polite way possible, he has no choice. If you're basing this statement on his tone of voice, remember that he has only one tone of voice which he always uses. To quote Claptrap: "If I sound pleased about this, it's only because my programmers made this my default tone of voice. I'm actually quite depressed!"

Kougaji Sciacallo K-9 does have a capacity for emotion, he states so on many occasions, he does have some kind of free will.
He also states several times that he does not have emotions to be injured when people apologize to him. At least in his original run with Tom Baker.
