The mechanics is basically any reality damage will "wake up" knights, you deal half damage when they are asleep, but they will ruin you with tons of ultimates if you wake them up too often. That's why you save for Black Dwarf, fellows.
The limbo isn't getting much harder right now compares to v1.1, also high scores on superbosses is by no means mandatory since they made the reward trivial. So f2p can definitely live well, I think monthly card puts you in the most comfort spot if you plan smart and not aiming for super high portray number.
