This channel just showed up in my RUclips stream so I decided to give it a listen to find out what it's about. Having Jeff as the guest was also a contributing factor, to be honest. I decided to subscribe, just to see where this program is going. I seldom read anything other than my Bible and a few commentaries I trust so it will be interesting to see if I can be tempted to put my study aside for bedtime and read a book or two written by Christian authors . I'm sure that some of them could enhance my studies and perhaps answer a few questions I continue to have. As an aside, I appreciate that you three gave your guest the opportunity to speak without interruption and argument! :)

I think that the "canopy" was a mix of water and salt, this was the UV filter and when Go released that canopy it was where the salted sea water came from and salt water is heavier and will sink to the lowest parts

A generation may be 40, 70 or 80 years. The trees are the nations - see when the nations formed - most were after WW1 and 2.

When Jesus said this generation shall not pass until all these things be fulfilled generation was referring to the generation of the Second Temple that was destroyed when the Roman Army destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in 70Ad it had to be destroyed because in 30ad Jesus shed his own blood once and for all for our sins to make the Saints the Temple of the Holy Ghost.
Jesus called the Pharisees you generation of vipers how can you escape the damnation of hell ?
70Ad was the beginning of sorrows because the wars in Jerusalem commenced from 115ad through 1967ad the six day war these wars were the great tribulation that Jesus spoke of in Matthew chapter 24
And those wars were according to the will of God Satan was prohibited from deceiving and attacking in Jerusalem during those years. This is why the Bible says that Satan was bound for a thousand years.
      Revelation 17:12-17
The ten kings that made war with the Lamb and the Lamb overcame them were in those wars from 115ad through 1967ad the six day war God used those ten kings according to his will
      Amen 🙏!

I really think God is more concerned with how we treat others than any sexual orientation or gender confusion matter. Those are issues within the person and how we treat others is far more important. Also Paul was not Jesus .

You can not interpret the Bible literally for the Bible itself says that God is a spirit and those that worship must worship in spirit and in truth and those that are led by the spirit of God they are the sons of God
If you believe in taking the Bible literally then the word of God is calling you out because the word of God says that the carnal mind is enmity against God it is not subject to the law of God neither indeed can be for it is the spirit that quickens the flesh profits nothing the words that I speak unto thee they are spirit and they are life .
For those that sow to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption and those that sow to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting
This whole discussion is contrary to the word of God.
    Amen 🙏!

If it is not literal then it means whatever you want it to mean. How do you communicate with others? I had to take your statements literally or it is just nonsense.

The Bible says that it is the spirit that quickens the flesh profits nothing those that are led by the spirit of God they are the sons of God.
And this is why you cannot interpret the Bible literally you have to be born again to see or to understand the kingdom of God for the kingdom of God is not meat or drink but righteousness joy and peace in the Holy Ghost.
      Amen 🙏!

Thumbs down. A poor exegesis of Genesis 6. You took the mystical interpretation that jumps right out of the genealogical context of Gen 4 & 5. No where does God call His sons angels.

    • @hearthebookpod

Thanks for the comment but you need to study more.

    • @uview1
      @uview1 Год назад

@@hearthebookpodYes we all do, but it's study that informs the student that you've inserted your opinion into Gen 6.
A misread of Job 1, 2, or 38 to define sons of God isn't a valid study. 2Pet 2:4 is not proof of angels marrying women. Jude 6 is another flawed attachment.
I've at least studied all the mythological talking points that you trust and found that they do not stand the test of Scripture interpreting Scripture.
You believe connecting dots of obscure passages will provide understanding. Rather, it's an errant way to build a doctrine and leads away from Truth. You need to re-study more.
