    Hi JT- we have been following your journey on Facebook on the Winterised Group and have been loving you regular updates on the weather and snow conditions. Your vid' makes us so excited, as we are heading back to the Alps in a few weeks time in the van. We love camping Huttopia at Bourg, but agree that a T6 is too small for winter camping as a family of 4...we are only 2 and it was pretty tight in January! We cannot wait to see what the chalets are like in side, as we have only ever seen them from the outside. Looks like you had a fab ski trip. Richard & Jackie

      Thank you so much guys. Whilst we have stayed at BSM several times now, we enjoyed watching your vid as a reminder of what was coming up. You definitely had more snow than us ! You’ll love the cabin experience, I’d be interested to hear how it compares to the apartment you stayed in at 1950.
      Can’t pretend we are not just a little bit jealous you are on your way back out there, we would quite happily have spent at least another week out there if commitments allowed ! Stay in touch, cheers JT !

      @@CampervanJourney no such luxury for us this time...we are staying in the van again in Huttopia! We are really looking forward to seeing how you liked the cabins on your next videos- they look fab!

    Hi JT, we love your videos! Have just returned from our annual ski trip to Tignes, driving down in our beloved California. Your detailed videos of the trips are such a great watch and so informative, thank you!. Snow is so good at the moment we hope to head back before end of season! We have previously done trips non-stop, about 12-13 hours and find it so much more comfortable in the Cali compared to the car. Now we love to stop off at Annecy on the way down.

      Hi Lee, thanks for your message ! Glad you had a great trip to Tignes. We visited there on one summer trip in our T5 Kombi. It was August, 8 degrees and drizzly, but there were still people skiing on the glacier. We have not visted Annecy as yet, just driven past it several times... We must stop off for a proper visit. Cheers JT

    We also set off on that Thursday 8th evening and caught a quick glimpse of your van at the Folkestone terminal and then again on the A26 before we stopped at Saint-Omer for the night before heading on to Champagny-en-Vanoise. Great to see how your journey compared!

    This has been great to watch.
    We are planning a two week trip next year, but this means we will want to bring our dog, so the camper will be used and it'll be a long slog from Glasgow down, probably to Italy. But will make it a nice round trip and maybe take some extra days annual leave.

      @@CampervanJourney we are still jumping between taking van or just going package holiday. Main this is we want to bring the dog along as she loves snow. Would be a long slog! No denying that haha

    Hi JT in your previous video you mentioned that by travelling by van to your destination that you saved quite a bit of money. Maybe you could do a video of the breakdown of costs for your holiday to compare it with flying.

      Hi! Thanks for watching the previous video and coming back for more ! Yes, I will put together a cost comparison with our friends who flew out and stayed at Huttopia as well. I think the numbers will be interesting…

    Hi, would be great to get an understanding of the total distance covered and fuel costs for such a trip, looking to purchase a people carrier type vehicle and this would allow me to gauge how much to budget for such trips. Thanks and good content as per normal.

    Do you have LED headlights and do you have to adjust them for driving on the right

    • @CampervanJourney
      @CampervanJourney  6 месяцев назад

      Hi there, yes, we have LED headlights that we can adjust in the Vans menu for driving on the right. The beam pattern is then set correctly for the other side of the road. You don't need to use the headlamp stickers. If you are thinking of buying a new vehicle, LED headlights are well worth the investment. cheers JT
