What is the difference between black and white Limba? Are they separate species like hard maple and soft maple?
Sweetwater gives perhaps the best answer on their website:
“There is only one limba tree or wood: Terminalia superba of the family Combretaceae. The different names refer to cosmetic differences in the coloring and any black streaking/figuring in the wood.”
