Of course the date in the movie doesn't fit, but the Harry Potter films are not canonical, so that doesn't matters. Allso James wasn't a seeker, like it was said in the movie. According to an Interview of Rowling, James was instead a chaser.

Full Expression I’m not great with time periods in the series, but I think it makes sense being that Minerva did escort Harry to Wood after he’s caught flying. I feel like any other professor would have punished Harry. Minerva knows a good seeker when she sees one!

One of the details was in the last scene in HP1 was that when Harry is on the train, and Hagrid is waving to him, you can see the village nameplate which says 'HOGSMEADE' in block letters.

The CGI was very good for the time the movies came out. That's probably because the high budget they had. I never knew the quidditch thing was cgi because it looked so real.

Liberty Suzanne the movie must leave it out I guess. Cuz it’s definitely listed in the books that they can bring their pets ( owl, cat, toad, or rat ) . Neville had also brought his toad but lost it and that’s why Hermione went to Harry on the train.
