Hi. Very thorough and informative. Could I ask what material these brake callipers are made from on the Mk4. I’ve read that the front are aluminium and the rear are cast iron? Thanks if you can answer.
I HATE the Mazda eBrake and the BS service mode, so many issues with it saying “disengaged”, only for my daughter to return home with a rotor that is glowing red hot.
I fully agree with the fluid change...still have some time left before needed, but planning a video when it's done. Good thing about the MX-5 E-brake is that it is fully manual. Thanks for watching...
Also, there is no such thing as “Lifetime Fluid”, at least perform a drain and fill on your transmission at 30-40k miles, and use ONLY Mazda OEM transmission fluid.
Oof… watching this Boomer spray his bare hands with brake cleaner isn’t a great feeling. Perchloroethylene (Perc), methylene chloride (MeCl), and trichloroethylene (TCE) are sure to cause issues later in life. Even if he’s 67 at this point, you’d think he’d care about what this is going to do to him in 20 years. 😢
Thank you for the great video. It helped me a lot to clean my brakes for the 1st time ever.
Glad it helped
Nice video. Great to see the QuickJack in use - I love mine.
I am so happy to have them. Thanks for the encouraging comment!
3500 quick jack? I have been thinking/dreaming of one.
The small ones, 5000 SLX... any longer and the mx5 would not fit. ..needed more than the 3500 for the second vehicle...

I'm not able to answer but maybe a mazda dealer would know. Thanks for watching.

Thank you make à vidéo for the rear
The rear procedure is the same as the front.
Servicing a new brake.
Good luck, I hope this video was helpful.
Wear protective gloves!
Good advice 👍
