How did I miss this game, Gloomhaven in space is a bit of a simplified view, similar mechanics. The Meet me at the table video caused me to buy it, so today I have it setup and learning to play.

Nice video ^^ love the paint on the ship. There seem to be some wrong movement on your turn 2 using the "flank" movement. on the last part you move forword instead of sideways. And i do believe ship can rotate 120* and not 180*, on there rotate action. ( i might be wrong)

It looks like the ship AI has been handled pretty well here. I had never even heard about this game until recently and now I'm considering dropping the coin to buy it. I think the only thing I saw that I'm not a fan of is the ships just sitting still like what happened to the last raider next to the satellite. I think some kind of inertia system would really have bumped up the immersion, but I understand that it can be tricky to implement with so many other moving pieces.
Yes this game has a great system. It would be neat to see inertia but I would think that may be difficult unless that was implemented from the start during the design. I have to admit I am surprised at how well the AI works for the most part. I am having a blast with this game!!! 😃😃👍
Justin they do have an app it is still not 100%. Iv found some errors in the setup compared to the book. So I am going to keep using the. Ooo till they say it is 100%. Ready to go!!! 😃😃👍
@@OneStopCoopShop I wonder why you'd even bother putting printed books in the box that must increase production costs more than making an APP and an APP send out an update to fix errors in printing. I never try to make a game though so what do I know
@@JLH111176 A lot of gamers just hate having to use an app when playing board games. They play those to get away from a screen, so an app is a no-go. I've seen many comments on app-supported games.
@@JLH111176 - besides what Hybban said there is also the fact that who knows if App wil be available to download in 5 or 10 years, while printed book will always be there. So if you want to play this game in 10 - 20 years with your kids / grandkids with the printed book you are sure that you will be able to.

At 46:12 you rotated 3 times instead of twice. I guess that was a mistake, but still, I guess, if you would have done it well, the ronin wouldn't be able to shoot the 2nd time that round right? Does the AI have to follow these steps even though it might bring them into a disadvantage?

I thought they had a APP for all the entries so you don't have to go through the book every time if you want to use it or not

I store them in a different box. Yes the game does not store sleeved cards at all. 😭😭

You are correct I did rotate once to many. Also yes you have to follow the AI card even if it is not advantageous for them. 😃😃👍
