An excellent review! This is the first time i see a review actually going through the aspects of how the machine is going to be used in real life. Thank you so much.
Really nice review of the robot. The height is a bit unfortunate but still interesting. Also wanted to say that I really enjoy your reviews. Your test are very real-life relevant and so very helpful 👍🏻
Best review on this I've seen, and I've seen a lot. Realistic uses, scenarios, not sugar coating but also not a jaded bump on a log like one dude I saw and didn't even finish the video it was so unnecessarily monotone and negative. Drifting off subject but great review! lol.
Thank you, I confirm, the robot is not able to clean up dried spots. We returned it and will test a yeedi mop station, if this works better with dried dots.
With my zaco, the fan no longer turns the brush, turns briefly. It turns a bit, and back again. After that, he says "please check the suction board," which means "Please check the suction plate" and it's only 1 year old. Until the mistake was already believing. 2. What should I do now?
Hello i have a question and really need an answer for this. Can this robot used magnetic strip virtual wall tape? I have this short elevation between rooms my robot keeps on fall on that spot and i dontbreally need the robot to go there so i didnt need a ramp, i just wants the robot's to stop trying to go to the other rooms.
Thanks for the video.. Do you still recommend the W450?, I was recommended the Yeedi vac 2 pro as a very good "mopping" robot. Also, Does the W450 deals with carpets very well, or do i need to remove every time ?
The W450 does not cross even over the thinnest obstacles so no, I would not recommend it if you have carpets and don't want to take it off and put it somewhere else because it can't cross a carpeted area
The oriental voice on the 450 is probably recognizable in person but piping it through the tiny speaker makes unintelligable. To me using the remote program 8s much better than just setting it down and pushing start. the W450 mops much better than the Bissel Shinebit and both iRobot mops. I do use the iRobot mops after the W450 does a deep clean and getting areas the W450 cannot navigate (eg. corners & under some furniture).. Cleaning the W450 can be an ordeal if you have long hair pets. A forceps is a good idea for clearing the venturi. Put it up dry or risk shorting the charging system. Order extra rollers.
If you don't need a vacuuming ability then yes. Still not very convenient to use since it requires lots of manual moving but for the price, the robot is good.
Hi there. The iLife W455 has a silver top whereas the W450 has a black top. The W450 comes with a bottle of hard floor cleanser while the W455 does not
Do you recommend this product? How is the comparison of this product compared to other robot vacuums as im looking for a robot with strong power suction and also a decent clean mopping
This one doesn't have suction at all, it's a dedicated mopping robot. As a mop, it doing a great job since it has a scabbing spinning mop and it washes the mop while working. But you would need a dedicated robot vacuum for vacuuming or vacuum the floors manually before mopping.
@@SmartRobotReviews how exciting! ROBOROCK now has a self-washing robot in China, called the G10. It even fills the water tank up with water, which is very cool!
Hi, will you recommend this product Vs Roborock S7? I'm torn between the 2 of them as W450 has self cleaning capabilities as compared to S7. Currently, I am using a xiaomi robot and hate to always clean the map manually. As such, I wanted to ask you for your honest opinion.
Hi, the ILIFE W450 navigation is much worse compared to the S7 or any other Lidar robot vacuum. Also, the W450 still needs some maintenance almost after every usage, like washing the brush, emptying the water tank with dirty water, refilling it with clean water, etc., so not sure if it's worth it in your case. Maybe you can buy a few mopping pads for your Xiaomi robot, so you can just replace a new one after every usage and once and then once a week or so wash them all together in a washing machine.
Depending on what you are looking for. As a mop it's an awesome device but you would have to vacuum the floors first. Might not be to convenient as you need to manually move it but a low clearance is what you have to trade for better mopping performance.
@@theattorney6072 there is no such thing as the best mop. It all depends on your needs. The Roborock S7 is a good one if you have carpets and hard floors. The W450 is a good one for the price but has its limitations
I don't think there is a robot that would be perfect at mopping. From what I have texted, the W450 is one of the best but has its flaws. Maybe those mopping robots with a self washing bases are good but I have only tested a Nawral and compared to it, the ILIFE imho is better
I love my Shinebot. I have the dumber one, the 400s and my floors have never been so clean. It even does a decent job on my hated porous linoleum, which is designed w/ crevices that permanently hold dirt and grime. Who the hell designed that? A man, for sure, because me, my sister and Adam's tech reviews all hate them. Speaking of men, my sister let her man pick their flooring, even though I tried to warn her how much I hated mine (and her's are white/check). Sidebar: I love men, I'm not a feminist by any stretch, but have a few more women in conceptual design already. Attract them w/ shiny objects and shoes if you have to ;). I have the same complaint w/ my shinebot as you. it's far too tall. I don't see any reason for that, and bigger water tanks aren't a valid excuse. They could be a tad smaller, esp. the dirty water bin. It's a higher maintenance robot and it does need to have everything cleaned and rinsed at least every two floors. Though w/ my kitchen esp., I clean everything and swap to a clean brushroll after each run (and do at least 2 in the kitchen. On my hardwood, 2 runs and my floors passed the white glove treatment. My kitchen, I've scrubbed w/ bleach on my hands and knees, used galley mops and nothing cleans that floor fully, ever. So all in all, I think it's the best floor robot out there, but the limitations could easily be fixed to put it light years above the pack. I'm looking for the right robot vac, w/ a mop, so I can get under furniture, because that's a huge and unnecessary design flaw.
@@Trikkie87 I was a secretary, and I saw one lady engineer in my years of working w them. I get that most women aren't drawn to engineering and most don't have a natural aptitude. It's the conceptual design part that needs more women. There are lots of women in advertizing, and the same kind of brainstorming of unique ideas could translate to the design dept. Just a pipe dream, because there's a number of design flaws in certain things, that I know a woman would have seen past, but men don't. As much as the progressives want to say we are exactly the same, we're not. Women still do far more housework, men still like to tinker w/ things.

Both the tecbot and the narwal do not pickup the dirty water they deposit on the floor. They just scrape most of the dirty water around and then do a cleaning cycle. The endresult is ofcourse much better than a normal vacuum/mop bot (or even the dedicated irobot mop bots) but compared to the ishine w450 its really not a comparison.

noted with thanks i will get a unit of this...😊
How does it compare to the Narwal T10 in terms of mopping? I noticed you have both ☺️
Hard to say to be honest. Probably equally the same but the Narwal obviously have more extras like vacuuming, and smart features
This one cleans better but it's much dumber than the Narwhal, but it's less than half the price
What does it do when the cleaning is complete? Since it doesn’t return to the dock
it stops where it finished

May I know if it would stop before steps? Or just fall off
The W450 has cliff sensors so it should not fall off the stairs.
