The one thing that that I feel bad that I don't think Beesleys realized at the time is they left the game a little to early. If they would have stayed for the 7th inning stretch (between the top and bottom of the 7th inning) then they would have heard a really big baseball tradition. Singing "take me out to the ballgame". You get the whole crowd singing and it is just a fun thing to experience.
Watching a baseball game in person is the best way to see the game, to feel the atmosphere, eat the hot dogs, do the 7th inning stretch and sing take me out to the ballgame. I’ll take a baseball game a thousand times over a football game.
I'm exactly the opposite, though I don't follow baseball. I have been to more MLB games than NFL games but im generally bored at baseball games. NFL games are more lively and I actually enjoy the sport. But people obviously enjoy baseball or it wouldn't be as big as it is. Different strokes.
The Dodgers are one of the oldest historic teams, started in 1890's in Brooklyn New York, and became the working man's team in contrast to the New York Yankees upper class team. Being the "working man's" team they had a cheap sausage served on a bun. Quickly, named a Hot Dog. And, Nathan's hot dog became the Dodger Dog. You can thank the Dodgers for hotdogs. As far as baseball movies, Major League, Field of Dreams, The Natural, and For love of the game are great movies. But do not skip on the Ken Burns Documentary, Baseball Thanks!
I met and got an autograph from pitcher Jaynie Krick. You can Google her name. When I met her in the late 90s, she was the security guard for our town's high school and the Christian preschool my son was attending.
"Field of Dreams" is a fabulous movie ... but be prepared to cry ! I've never seen a man watch it without "rubbing his eyes" at the ending ! You'll love it!
Baseball is more relaxed and less stressful during the regular season (before playoffs) because there are so many games. With 162 games in the season, even the best teams lose quite a few games throughout the year. If you got super angry every time there was a loss, you'd be a fairly miserable person. 😆
The nachos in the baseball helmet reminds me of when I was a kid and after t-ball/little league we would head to Dairy Queen and they would serve ice cream sundaes in miniature baseball helmets.
There are many real good baseball movies; 1. Field of Dreams 2. The Natural 3. Bull Durham 4. Major League 5. 42 (Jackie Robinson Story) 6. For the Love of the Game 7. Trouble with the Curve 8. The Rookie 9. Eight Men Out. 10. The Sandlot 11. Cobb If you watch Field of Dreams, you should watch Eight Men Out after. Many of the players that are portrayed in Field of Dreams, you get the real story about them. They were known as the 1919 "Black" Sox, and the scandal rocked baseball. It wasn't until Babe Ruth exploded onto the scene that baseball fully recovered. From the 1920s to the 1950s, it was baseball's golden era.
I’m an older man and can remember when baseball was considered to be the “national pastime.” By the time I was in high school, football has surpassed baseball as the most popular sport. By the way, I grew up in Southern California and went to see the Dodgers when the legendary Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale played! I now live in Alabama, the state in which both my parents were born. I also grew up eating Southern food and watching Alabama football on black-and-white television!
Field Of Dreams will help u understand how special Baseball is to us and why . I’ve watched dozens of times and cry everytime . Run don’t walk to watch that film .⭐️
I remember going to baseball games as a child with family and friends. Its a very calm sport or maybe "relaxed" is a bit better a word. There are exciting parts of the game but for the most part its a really chill environment unless its playoffs that is. ⚾❤🇺🇸
I died laughing when the guy said"they're about to kick off". Wrong game son. Dodger's are a good team. They are in 1st place in the National League West. The worst thing about dodger stadium is the gnats on the field and their organist never shuts up. A lot of families with small children bring noise reducing headsets for the kids.
Ah. The Beesleys! Someone already nentioned that they missed the 7th inning stretch! When my family first came frim the UK, we lived in southern California. The Company my dad worked for had season tickets for the Dodgers. It was so much fun! My Grandfather had VIP passes for Disneyland. That was also a very cool perk!! We relocated to extreme northeastern California in 1977 and with occasional moves(college, etc) have been gere ever since! And yes, the traffic in Los Angeles is insane! My mom and i took a road trip several years ago to see family in Southern California. We timed it very badly, although I'm not certain it really matters. We were on the highway through L A at rush hour! Bumper to bumper, and actual stop and go slow for miles! By the way, only Southern California has the palm trees, and cacti. Central California is more oaks and the like. Northern Coast is redwoods. Northeastern is a lot of pine trees! Of course there's a mix of other trees as well, but this should give an idea how diverse the botony is throughout the state.
This game was back on April 23rd vs the Washington Nationals. LA won 4-1. The Dodgers are having an excellent year, and are currently leading the National League West division. It's pity they didn't stay just a few more minutes until the 7th inning stretch, which is a unique feature of any baseball game.
Just got back from an 1800 mile round trip to the College World Series opening weekend in Omaha Nebraska. Been attending for 27 years straight. Love baseball, love both Rosenblatt & Schwab Field, love the town, & love the tradition. The people of Omaha are top notch and great hosts.
I’m from LA and a Dodgers fan, and yes traffic is awful and it can take a while getting from place to place. I hope one day no matter where in the US you decide to visit, that you are able to attend a game from any sport, whether that be Basketball, Football, Baseball, Hockey, Soccer, or even College Sports and experience the atmosphere! And if it’s Football hopefully you get the chance to tailgate with people in the parking lot! 😊
When I was 10 the first MLB game I ever went to was at this stadium for a Dodgers vs Reds and I've been a Dodgers fan ever since. I will say that I enjoy going to the Cubs games at Wrigley Field maybe even more because it's right in the city and and Wrigleyville.
Hi from Los Angeles 🙋♀️ From where they were, to Dodger's Stadium, no way would that be a 10 minute journey any day! In light traffic it's a 30 minute drive if they went via the 105 and 110 freeways. 40 minutes if they took the 405 and the 10. But for a week night game, their journey was typical. Games start between 5:40pm-7:10pm. Dodger's Stadium is just outside downtown LA, so they had to battle rush hour traffic, plus the parking lot ordeal. Best to get there really early, shop for team merch, and grab some food. They had the classic Dodger Dog, but stadium food is so much more. You can get "everything" at most stadiums now from hot dogs to birria tacos and sushi.
They picked the best stadium for your first game! I've been to many stadiums and even though Dodger Stadium is old it still feels new and is set in a great location with views of the San Gabriel Mountains. It doesn't have all the fancy amenities like newer stadiums, but when the weather is nice ( which is often in LA) Dodger Stadium literally shines! There's a free (with a game ticket) direct shuttle from Union Station! Union Station has mission revival style architecture and is worth visiting for that alone and Olvera Street is directly across the street. Olvera Street is a small pedestrian street leading off of the central plaza of the original Pueblo of Los Angeles, founded in 1781. Lined with eateries and shops, it leads from the plaza to Cesar Chavez Avenue and contains many of the oldest buildings in Los Angeles.
Baseball is a lot more relaxing to watch than football. There is a lot of time where there isnt anything going on and you just sit back with your beer and food. Football fans get a lot more excited or angry. And football fans tend to get a lot more drunk and disorderly.
@blakerh Yes. As a kid playing baseball, it took everything I could muster to keep from falling asleep. It's got to be the most boring sport in the country. I know I could never sit through a whole game.
Stadiums and arenas in the US are usually named something dumb by the current corporate sponsor, officially. But most people call them either a historical name or after the team. For example, Mile High Stadium (not Envesco Field). Dodger Stadium is actually Dodger Stadium, though.
Andre, many sports stadiums have their own Brand Name hotdogs. The Boston Red Sox stadium, Fenway Park, sells "Fenway Franks". You can buy them in supermarkets all over New England
I love the Beesley's and follow them, but I haven't watched this one yet. So, I'll watch with you! I have enjoyed their adventures in the US. I'm not a baseball fan, but I love watching live sports no matter what the sport. Live in LA for 2 years, and yes, the traffic is nuts. I lived there 20 years ago, and it was bad, so now, it's probably insufferable.

I have to say that you are very handsome and sexy. I LOVE your accent. So sexy and beautiful. I can’t decide on which country you are from. I think Italy. Or maybe Portugal. Please confirm.
MY LA Dodgers were the Brooklyn Dodgers for many years!! Also, André, you could react to the LEGACY of the late, great, sports broadcaster Vin Scully. The Voice of the Dodgers, for something like 60 years, I think.
Baseball holds extreme Nostalgia within us Americans !!We grew up Playing Little League since the age of 6. Baseball , Hot Dogs , Apple Pie & Chevrolet☑️
I don't really understand a whole lot about baseball, oh, but I do love the sound of it. I don't know if the National League still uses wooden bats, but that crack sounds much better to me than the ping of an aluminum bat. It's all about the ambiance. I love your videos.
I have wonderful memories of our family going to see the phillies games and also a minor league team with a stadium close by. It is a much more family-friendly game and environment. I still love my phillies 65 yrs after those childhood times.
I prefer Florida after living in both states, but the air is dryer in CA. Definitely more humid and tropical in FL. All depends on personal preference.
On game day definitely there will be lots of traffic. This brings back memories my grandparents lived very close to Dodger Stadium and going to the game with them was an experience. From where to park and where to sit. Dodgers usually have one of the better teams in the National League but they don't always make it to the World Series.
André, André, André, we loyal fans LOVE our teams, whether it is a winning season (Dodgers have won many World Series games!) or not such a good season!!!
When we lived in Chicago we often went to both Cubs games and White Sox games. Got to see the great Ernie Banks as well as Ron Santo, and manager Leo Durocher!
Back in the 1990s, I actually met one of the All American Girl's Professional Baseball League players. She was a security guard for the high school parking lot. Her name was Jaynie Krick. I got her signature at my son's preschool. The preschool and high school shared our church's parking lot. She also attended a fundraising event for our preschool. She was super interesting and very sweet!!! But she was super tough!!! The high school kids didn't mess with her!!!! 😂
I grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates in baseball, the Steelers in football, and the Penguins in ice hockey. All three teams share gold, black and white color schemes. Before it was torn down, my family would go to games about six or seven times a year at Forbes Field. Among other highlights this was the field where Babe Ruth hit his last Home Run of his professional career, where the Pirates won the World Series against the New York Yankees, (my dad was lucky enough to get tickets to that game), and my dad and I, on a bonding trip saw a twelve inning no-hitter go down in flames when a last out was avoided by a single. Don Hoak was the pitcher that night. It was disappointing that the home team lost, but was exhilarating that they had gone into so many extra innings from the usual seven. I have very fond memories of that field. Today, in Pittsburgh, there are two stadiums built right next to each other, just across the Allegheny River from downtown. One for baseball and one for football. This way, as they play at different times of the year, they can share the parking lot.
You never leave a game! That's the number 1 rule... I'm from Utah, but I am a huge Chicago Cubs fan. I finally saw the Cubs when they played against Arizona. My dream is to go to Wrigley Field for a Cubs home game! 😀
I grew up around baseball. My older brother was one of the best players in our town so we were often going to tournament games in July. And there was a minor league team about 10 miles from where we lived, so we used to go to those quite often, as well. When we moved to Ohio when I was 8, we were outside of Cleveland, and we'd try to get to at least one game every summer. The stadium they played in when I I was a kid was absolutely HUGE, with over 80,000 seats, but they would be lucky to have about 10,000 fans most of the time because the team was bad. They built a new stadium in the early 1990s that seats about 35,000, and the team is one of the best in baseball this year, so they get larger crowds. For me, baseball was always a family thing. The first time I ever bought my dad a beer was at a baseball game, in fact. The experience has been improved in the last couple of years as rules have been implemented cut down on how long a game takes to play. Where the average game was about 3:15-3:30 a few years ago, now the average is about 2:30-2:45, and I've watched a few games in the last two years that have come in at under 2 hours. The city where I live now has the top minor league team for Cleveland, and the stadium here seats about 12,000. It sits between the arena where our National Hockey League team plays (about 19,000 seats) and the stadium where our Major League Soccer team (the defending champions of the league) plays, which has about 21,000 seats. None of those are quite like the stadium a couple of miles away where Ohio State plays their American football games, though.
Dodger dogs are quite famous. Probably a lot is hype but I bet they are pretty good. Dr Pepper is nationwide. BUT . . . Many stadiums have exclusive rights. Pepsi but no coke or Dr Pepper. Dr Pepper but no Coke or Pepsi and so on. Field of Dreams was fantasy but it was pretty good. Money Ball was based on events.
Field Of Dreams and Bull Durham are 2 iconic baseball movies. Also, palm trees in California are transplants. California is in an arid climate zone and palm trees are native to tropical and sub-tropical zones.
Hello! Thank you again for your reaction!! I love how your commentaries and your video personality is refreshing and enjoyable. Would you be able to share videos on your country of Portugal? As an American, we do enjoy learning about other countries and cultures. God bless you and your family. Keep up the great work!
Most American sports have a party family friendly atmosphere, which is why we don't have the same kind of vulgar chants that is common is European sports.
I played baseball from the time I was 4 till I was 16. Its is definitely Americas sport and such a fun sport to watch. I would recommend Field of dreams and Major League. I would also recommend The sandlot and angels in the outfield. These were my favorite movies growing up.
When I lived in LA, I lived about 4 miles (6.37 km) from where I worked. I worked the 6:30 am to 3:30 pm shift. It would take me about 15 to 20 mins to get to work in the morning due to the early hour, and about 45 mins to 1 1/2 hours to get home. And, that was not taking any freeways. it was only surface streets. So, yes, traffic really is that bad.
One major difference in the atmosphere of baseball over football is the organ. Many early fields had an organ since it could be heard around the stadium. Anymore, there are about 8 stadiums that have a full-time organist. Others have turned completely, or almost completely, computerized.
I love going to Baseball games, watching with a crowd of people cheering, (and I typically don’t like crowds) eating the hotdogs, popcorn, peanuts, it is a lot of fun. I prefer going to baseball games more than going to football games. Football is 30 seconds of action and 15 minutes talking about the move 🙄. You can get Dr. Pepper in every state, it is my favorite drink!
Andre, baseball games last 2:30 to 3hr....unless it's extra innings, then it's longer. In baseball there are ties or as you say a draw (não há empates no beisebol). You play until there is a winner.
Baseball during the season is more chill. Each team plays 162 games a season so they are going to win some and lose some. Everyone knows. In college football there are only like 12 games in a season. So a lot more on the line for each game. Post season baseball is more intense
Field of Dreams is a good movie and I've been to the place it was filmed. At first I thought why didn't they leave the baby at home, but then I realized it will be great when he's older to see himself at his first American baseball game 😊 🇺🇲⚾️
Baseball is still my favorite sport. Anyone who visits the US during baseball season should take in a game in person -- even a minor league game. It's not just the game itself, but it's the food & atmosphere that make it fun. However, make sure you wear sunscreen!
Its usually faster to walk or ride a bike thean to drive anywhere in LA. And yes that's where they filmed the iconic scene in the fast and furious. NOTE palm trees aren't native to Southern California. They were shipped in by Huntington in the 1860s to decorate his new train station. Y
The Dodgers were originally in Brooklyn, NY and they moved west to LosAngeles it was a HUGE THING. At one time there were no major league teams west of Kansas City, Missouri because teams traveled by trains, not airplanes. When air travel by commercial airlines became much more common the teams began to move to the western cities in California like L.A. and San Francisco. There was much anger and resentment in Brooklyn ( which is part of the five boroughs of New York City) about the move at the time. I think, not sure, it was about 1958 or so.
Traffic in LA is INSANE!! I ALWAYS use "Google directions" on my phone, even when driving to a destination that I know well. Yes, a 10 minute drive, that takes 10 minutes without traffic 😂😂😂😂(no such time of day; before 6 AM & after 10 PM, maybe) can ABSOLUTELY take 90 minutes. ESPECIALLY going to a large venue, like Dodger Stadium (located in a part of LA called Chavez Ravine). Also, parking at the large venues is INSANE. Many, many decades ago (early 1970's), during high scbool, I went to a lot of Dodger's games. Great memories! We often left BEFORE the end of the game, because could take a very long time to get out of the parking lot. My friends take public transportaion, or park in the general area & take Uber or Lyft. I've heard that the food choices are crazy, every type of food. Very, very expensive. Blessings, André.
Because of where I live in Tennessee, we don't have a professional baseball team in my state. The closest teams are like Atlanta Braves or Saint Louis cardinals. I favor the Braves.
If you attend any game in the US, try and reach the Stadium by train or bus. Use a park and ride if you have to or get a hotel near a line serving the stadium. Trains if possible as busses are in traffic
I'm tuned into the Dodger/Rockies game right now. I'm a unicorn because I'm from Mississippi and LOVE the Dodgers!!! Most folks around me go for the Atlanta Braves or Texas Rangers or Astros, but I love the Dodgers!!
Thanks!
Ty 🙏
The one thing that that I feel bad that I don't think Beesleys realized at the time is they left the game a little to early. I'd include " The Sandlot" in your baseball movies to watch.
I actually live in the state where "The Sandlot" is filmed. I know the place. It's a literal sandlot.
You're killing me Smalls 👽👽
And the original bad news bears!
A league of their own, based on the female leagues during WWII
Dr Pepper is country wide but most stadiums typically have an exclusive deal with either Coke or Pepsi and only sell that companies products
Dr. Pepper is a Coca-Cola product.
I believe Dr.Pepper is a product of Coca-Cola.
You might be able to get Dr. Pepper anyway though.
Dr. Pepper is a Coca-Cola product.
Dr Pepper can be sold by either Coke or Pepsi. It depends more on location. Like city or even down to blocks.
Watching a baseball game in person is the best way to see the game, to feel the atmosphere, eat the hot dogs, do the 7th inning stretch and sing take me out to the ballgame. I’ll take a baseball game a thousand times over a football game.

Sadly, the Great Willy May's passed away about 3 hours ago. He lived a long life, so at the age of 93, we truly lost a legend..
Oh wow, I hadn't heard that. 😢ironically, we were at our grand daughters softball game last night, so didn't see the news. ...
Absolute Legend RIP
Mays, no apostrophe.

A League of Their Own is about women's baseball during WWII.
Modern baseball has it's roots in the 19th century.
Wonderful movie

"Hey, Dad ... You want to have a catch?" I've seen the movie about 10 times and still can't make it past this line without rubbing my eyes ....
Angels in the outfield is a fun movie
Traffic into Dodger games is ridiculous! And when you leave, just plan on sitting in your car for 45 minutes while the lot empties enough to move.

"Field of Dreams". yes. "Major League". absolutely.
The natural is another great movie
There are many real good baseball movies;

Yes! "Field of Dreams" is amazing!
You should definitely watch it, and "The Rookie"

Why don't you guys play baseball in Europe ?? east Europe too ?? that's weird, I wonder how it got so big in Japan and Taiwan ??
Hey bro, I’m a college student planning a roadtrip from California to Utah this summer. If you’d like to come just hit me up 🤙.
That is the cutest baby I've ever seen, until I see the next one
Except for Andre's of course ;)
Baseball holds extreme Nostalgia within us Americans !!We grew up Playing Little League since the age of 6. Baseball , Hot Dogs , Apple Pie & Chevrolet☑️
I lived in LA a lot of my life, yes that's about right. You have to plan everything in LA.
Born 1964 and raised in LA, when I was a little boy there was 1 hour of heavy traffic. Now there are 5 hours of heavy traffic.😢
I don't really understand a whole lot about baseball, oh, but I do love the sound of it. I don't know if the National League still uses wooden bats, but that crack sounds much better to me than the ping of an aluminum bat. It's all about the ambiance. I love your videos.
You would like Los Angeles and Southern California. The climate is very similar to Portugal.
Looks like yes
Watch “A League of Their Own” for a great baseball movie to go with “Field of Dreams.”
I have wonderful memories of our family going to see the phillies games and also a minor league team with a stadium close by. It is a much more family-friendly game and environment. I still love my phillies 65 yrs after those childhood times.
Field of Dreams is iconic. You might like Sand Lot about kids growing up with baseball.
I think the Beesley's had a Hot Dog with their Mustard. Love their channel. LOL
I prefer Florida after living in both states, but the air is dryer in CA. Definitely more humid and tropical in FL. All depends on personal preference.
You have to watch Field of Dreams.
You need to watch Field of Dreams! It’s so good!!
On game day definitely there will be lots of traffic. This brings back memories my grandparents lived very close to Dodger Stadium and going to the game with them was an experience. From where to park and where to sit. Dodgers usually have one of the better teams in the National League but they don't always make it to the World Series.
Loved both Moneyball and Field of Dreams - but also watch Bull Durham!
4:44 yes they are one of the better teams top in their division
André, André, André, we loyal fans LOVE our teams, whether it is a winning season (Dodgers have won many World Series games!) or not such a good season!!!
Field of Dreams is quietly spectacular. ❤❤❤
When we lived in Chicago we often went to both Cubs games and White Sox games. Got to see the great Ernie Banks as well as Ron Santo, and manager Leo Durocher!
Love you Andre! 🙌🏻
Field of Dreams is a MUST WATCH!!!
Great timing. I just finished watching the Atlanta Braves beat the Detroit Tigers 2-1.
Field of Dreams is a must, an iconic movie
Yes, Field of Dreams!❤
Rush hour in big American cities, the main roads are like a parking lot for a while from gridlock.
Field of dreams…. For sure! Build it … they will come
Field of Dreams, in my opinion, is one of the best baseball themed movies of all time!!!
Field Of Dreams and Bull Durham are 2 iconic baseball movies. Also, palm trees in California are transplants. California is in an arid climate zone and palm trees are native to tropical and sub-tropical zones.
Field of Dreams is definitely one of the best baseball movies. Bull Durham is the most accurate because all us ball players are completely bonkers.
"Field of Dreams" is a great movie!!! Check out: "Major League". Comedy and funny as heck!!
Hello! Thank you again for your reaction!! I love how your commentaries and your video personality is refreshing and enjoyable. Would you be able to share videos on your country of Portugal? As an American, we do enjoy learning about other countries and cultures. God bless you and your family. Keep up the great work!
We have a lot of palms in the metro areas of Arizona as well 🌴
Baseball is good for families, because the game has lots of time between plays and endings. So you are relaxed and kids can feel free to play.
😂😂😂😂you called it right on hotdog, that’s a hot mess!
Field of dreams is good. Sandlot. Rookie of the year. The rookie. The natural. So many good baseball movies.
Baseball is only the 3rd favorite (watched) sport in the USA, first being American football obviously and second being basketball.
Look up field of dreams, and "the rookie"... two of our favorites
Definitely watch Field of Dreams, a tear-jerker. You’d love it.
Football is as American as apple pie.😊😊😊. Also, dr. Pepper is sold EVERYWHERE!
Because of where I live in Tennessee, we don't have a professional baseball team in my state. The closest teams are like Atlanta Braves or Saint Louis cardinals. I favor the Braves.
"Field of Dreams" is a good movie and worth taking the time to watch.
"Moneyball" was great too.
Andre, please watch "Field of Dreams." It is an American classic. My family went to pro baseball games as a family activity.
You can get Dr. Pepper anywhere.
If you attend any game in the US, try and reach the Stadium by train or bus. Use a park and ride if you have to or get a hotel near a line serving the stadium. Trains if possible as busses are in traffic
Baseball is the greatest sport ever devised❤
I'm tuned into the Dodger/Rockies game right now. I'm a unicorn because I'm from Mississippi and LOVE the Dodgers!!! Most folks around me go for the Atlanta Braves or Texas Rangers or Astros, but I love the Dodgers!!
Hope you watched until the end tonight. That was some comeback.
