    Something that has been really helpful for me lately is reminding myself that just because I have money, doesn't mean I have to spend it. In the past, I would think "oohh I have extra money, lets go buy that thing I've been wanting" but then I would end up with buyers remorse and not have that extra money for something more important. Now I'm telling myself I really don't need that thing I've been wanting and saving the money instead.

    I refuse to compete, with other people. Having the same clothes, hair styles and Never understood the eyebrow thing? Be yourself not a clone. Saves me money and helps me be happy and content.
    Stop trying to be someone else, because you are unique ❤️

    Low buy year 2025 with spouse and toddler♡Reasons: 1.Tired of always wanting more and not being content. 2. Exhausted of always shopping in-person or online so much/dissociation. 3.Putting too much importance on things. 4.Comparing too much/ seeking approval.
    5. Delay gratification and dopamine hits. 6.Impulse buys, guilt, returns/declutter. 7.Pay off the brand new truck sooner than expected (only debt) (2nd vehicle is paid off). 8. Build our savings higher. And i made a rules of yes and no for myself and got a budget app. Thank you

    1) no one cares about your stuff as much as you do 2) wait at least 24 hrs before buying something and see how the 'impulse' to buy dissipates 3) see what's 'wrong' with the the thing you want to buy instead of talking yourself into it (the maintenance, cost, storage, upkeep) 4) visualize your money staying in your bank account 5) ask yourself "who is benefiting from my money?"
    Thank you for yet another great video that helps us stop, reflect, and recenter to what's most important at the end of the day: a financial peace of mind! ✨

    My Mum told me about this method 20 years ago. Only a certain amount a day like £10.00. For me personally it’s very fiddly having to count and remember every single day, but I can see it working for people on small income.

    The way I managed to change my mindset towards saving was seeing it as the most valuable purchase I could ever make - buying my freedom in retirement. I have a fairly set idea of what I’d like that to be (a gentle, stress free and simple frugal life) and I keep it in my mind always. I pretty much love it already, but at least the. I won’t be working. When I don’t spend money on something - like a train ticket, I transfer that money in to my savings at the end of the day. Or if I walk away from a purchase, I transfer that as well. Transfers like that help me see it saving up daily, better to see it taken away from my account in a good way!
    Buying my freedom now so I can enjoy the money in the future when I’ll need it.

    Getting my finances organised, knowing what I've spent and what I've spent it on was key to sorting out my life and finances.

    A good way to save money on lecy is to get all your family members an “head torch” that way never need any lights on in the house also get every family member a dressing gown to keep warm I do these and saved 75% of my net income this year. At the moment my house is 8.4deg C but in my dressing gown I’m toasty.

    Really enjoyed this video. I'd probably put any underspend on the daily allowance 75% in savings and 25% for an end of month treat proportional to your saving 💰

    I always divide my monthly income by the week's in that month. The rest is savings.I have a standard weekly spend amount anyway but by dividing money in my bank every Sunday, I know if I'm on track and what potentially I have for extra savings.

    What does Fomo mean ?

  • @ojbeez5260
    @ojbeez5260 Месяц назад +5

    I get FOMO every time I could have saved money on special offers or bills or got something cheaper that could have saved money to be used to save money elsewhere. I detest Branded clothing and items, perfume, cars. I'm happy with my electric bike and my solar panels. My purchase that I salivate over are things like Solar Panel, Batteries, e-bikes, coupons, sales, energy efficient devices...seriously give me FOMO. I mean how much am I missing out on having twice as many solar panels???...think of the money I could save!!!..that's FOMO.
