That's the tragedy of our 3 language education system where ppl from all states don't know anything apart from their mother tongue and so called link language hindi. Mother tongue is primary and apart from that students should have an option to choose their own optional language not forced to study hindi only as 3rd language.
There are many ppl from Odisha who have been in Karnataka for decades now but don't know a word in Kannada. Govt wants all Indians to just know hindi. One should always know his/her mother tongue and after that the language of the land or region. If someone comes to Odisha his link language should be Odiya with locals not hindi.
One needs to respect the locals, their culture, language and customs and not force locals to learn so called raj basha.
@@abhishekchandrappa5384 In any case you can never learn all the Indian languages in school. There is no harm in having one common language ( Indian origin ) among all Indians; it adds to the unity and it is not suppression of any other language.

There is a lot of harm in having a common language if it gives undue advantage to some for which its their mother tongue.
No harm in having english as a common link language given the fact that its a link language world over.

One of the most melodious Kannada film songs i have heard in recent years. Late Sri. C. Ashwath who composed the music for this film was a doyen of Kannada film music as well as folk music. The singer Sangeetha Katti has rendered this song marvelouly and yet has not found any favour with other Kannada film Music directors/Directors/Producers, which is a pity & clearly shows how highly talented Kannada artistes are totally IGNORED!! and yet nobody cares or bothered about it at all.
