I think they're going to do a map-revamp rather then expansion. Rather then expanding the map, they'll add more roads / buildings / decorations (trees, bushes, ect.) We might also get a weather app in the new phones. The phone UI might also change. Now if you say something while talking on the phone, the text pops up above you. Now I think the text wont pop-up above you, rather only on the phone.

Yeah agreed. My opinion on a map expansion is not needed due to the amount of players what play emergency response in an average server, cause most of the map is empty anyway like you said. Also people will have to keep getting better game graphics due to the amount of detail in the game, meaning less people might play due to the lag.👍
