LHM 550 Mobile Harbour Crane. Loading Logs, New Zealand

MHC550 x 4 delivered to our Port here in Mount Maunganui NZ. Predominantly for the loading of logs for export. The first two was readied and started work this week on Berth 10. The next two MHC's will be ready in the next week or so and look forward to seeing all 4 of them working and earning their keep. Busy times ahead, as a night shift worker I'm more than happy to work these huge machines, the cab is a totally alien place for us to work as this is our first time using them, New Technology makes things so much easier to manage and in a comfort, we are not used to. Thank you Liebherr and onwards and upwards to all the guys up in the saddle.

These new cranes came from Rostock in Germany and delivered to us here in NZ. Most cargo ships have their own cranes normally capable of lifting approx 35 tonne max

Hi, their is no delay whatsoever, All movements are more or less instant, once you get used to how they work they are very smooth as well.
