This is extraordinary. I take my hat off to you. I would like to offer some additional thoughts as pertains to Christianity in the USA. A Barna poll shows that only about 1 in 5 self professed Christians put God as the center of their purpose in life. The top answer to "what is your life purpose is: “living a healthy, productive, and safe life”. This is an abject, miserable failure of parents and the church to disciple our children. My denomination has catechism/confirmations classes and I asked young adults who had gone through those classes what they remembered and it was basically nothing. We send our kids off to college with no clue as to what Christianity is all about. It's not surprising that they lose their religion in a few weeks of college life. So Christian evangelical churches do a terrible job of discipling. What do they do well? My denomination excels at giving comfortable feelings to old people. The same words, liturgy they have heard for their entire lives. They don't even hear the words or know what is meant but it's comfort. The community churches are often centered around a firebrand leader. They see their purpose as fighting. They fight against abortion, against gays, against public schools, against welfare. Love for neighbor is not to be found. Do you have Christ as the center of your life is not nearly as important as "are you a sicko dummycrat or a Trump sycophant. Thank you for this video and the opportunity to voice my opinion. I rarely subscribe but your messages are exceptionally good so I'm subscribing.
She didn't mention all the Foundational people who hold up everyone else, who rarely are mentioned but who are Super-Special to God: Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Mechanics, Construction Workers, Nurses, Doctors, Servers, Housekeepers. Farmers....... and so many more. Also, just because one trains or positions themself in a 'career', it doesn't mean that is God's Calling on that life!!! People can go to college or be in a blue collar position and after meeting the Lord say, "Now I will be a CHRISTIAN __________________". God's Plan CAN BE totally different than the path taken before complete surrender to Him!!!
This is a really good point. Many Christian motivational speakers often overlook the value of people who live `ordinary' lives and are not career focused. It's also possible that Christine Caine may have been targeting this message to an audience of young people who are at the stage of life and thinking about a career.
