As someone who is currently dealing with anxiety and depression issues, the problems Twilight is having really speak to me, and its not just the anxiety and PTSD she clearly has. Its the whole 'sudden magic' thing that really gets to me. Sunset notices something is wrong and wants to tell others so they can help, but Twilight begs her to keep it secret. This is what a lot of people who are struggling with depression do. They try to keep it a secret and if anyone else finds out, they beg them to stay quiet out of fear of being judged. For me, my 'Midnight' is my depression.
What is funny is that Sunset was the one that want all the power to herself and now she is teaching everyone that magic is super cool and they should use it ;) Something never changes.

Don't know why people keep give Filthy such a hard time. He gave her until the end of a month and honored his word. He already owns the whole thing after all. He is being much nicer than most people would be in real life. One thing I did notice was that Gloriosa always seem to have something covering her neck after her transformation. I wonder if she has scars. I do like this one, and love the music. Sunset has really come into her own in this one and she is favorite in all of MLP, but I still think Rainbow Rocks is better, but not by much. Still pissed due to the lack of Shimmercorn though. Have my own headcanon about that one. She hasn't been blown up by her elements after all. Twilight musical number next to the mini Waterfall kind of reminds me of people who deal with perfection issues. What I mean by that is, they do everything in life right make a few harmless healthy mistakes, then they make one BIG mistake and end up feeling like a failure or worthless, or even a monster! It's a lot like how mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, ptsd can creep up on you the moment you start to doubt yourself.
Being the geeky science nerd I am, I would like to point out that the flowers on the vine at 46:16 hanging on the entrance basically defies gravity. The weight of the flowers greatly outnumber the weight of what's hanging around the supports and would cause the whole thing to fall. Unless it was tied or was stuck to the wood by some kind of adhesive, it's basically jmpossible. I know it's fictional and all, but I'm a nerd, ok? 😁😁😁😁

The CMCs and other CH students of their range were not at the camp because they were not in the same class (literally grade) as the friendship fellowship (which is what I am calling the main cast in human form). This was a class (grade) trip. Not a school trip/event.

Even the main setting for this movie takes place at a summer camp as well since I've heard that Camp Everfree is a summer camp which is set outdoors.

Already seen your reaction to this, but what the heck, time to re watch it since it has been a while. Legend of Everfree is still definitely my second favorite of the Equestria Girls franchise, it's just really good to me. XD.
I say up to this point, watching MLP or EQG feels more enjoyable when watching it alongside reactors this way. Why? It's as though you're not watching it by yourself and in good company.

The words you said in your afterthoughts was hitting me with the deep level this movie have. As I so, so, so often feel like Twilight felt about Midnight, that low selfconfidence... I don't have those friends from a mane 6/7 she has... As I know how the inside is in war, the inside bully you (you bully yourself), as I was bullied in school as well... This makes me wanna rewatch this entirer thing over and over (with some time in between) to keep remind me of it.

I know I am really late to the party, but now thinking about it, I think Sunset’s element is empathy, she could feel who the person she touches’ feelings, as well as see their memories, and she literally relates to all of those who went through becoming a type of villain (and maybe Starlight is Sunset in the pony world who will, or can be the element of empathy there, just maybe)
This movie here is one of my most favorite movies in the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls series and I even have this movie too on both Blu-ray and DVD. I also really enjoy watching this particular movie mostly during the spring and summer months of the year a lot since this movie has more of a spring and a summer vibe to it, especially considering that it takes place outdoors and all at a summer camp.
The song of Everfree is one of my favorite with Luna's solo song from one of the episode of the Hearthwarming
