I thought I wouldn't like this season because of the female lead but in just 4 EP I'm already in love with her, she's a good actress and really beautiful, her smile is something else.
I like these two. The same person is Naksu/Mudeok in the storyline. They are so good acting of sharing the characters. Hats off to them as great work. I have great respect for JSM and GYJ as actresses and their individual acting skills. The writers have written a great drama . Both actresses fit the respective season, Mudeok could barely smile at UK in S1 and Buyeon/Cheyeon/Naksu is all about the opposite. It's a contrast. Can't even fathom her going from being this hard-core master to all Lovey dovey with him in a click. I cannot wait to see what unfolds. Who cares what the naysayers say ... Fighting, GYJ!
YES i agree respect for both actresses and the writers -the Hong sisters--i was a bit confused at the beginning of season 2 (Buyeon/Cheyeon/Naksu) I really wasn't clear about who was manifesting in that body at any time but then realized how brilliant the script was to create mystery with such a contrast in their characters..We all have the contrast inside but rarely do we let others see it! I just started watching again from the beginning and DAMN i missed a lot the first time i watched it! Fascinating.
They are all amazing actors despite being basically rookies in acting. They have all made me cry and laugh at the series. I love Alchemy of Souls 1 & 2 the Hong sisters are truly amazing too.
Truth be told... I was in love with season 1. I was very upset how it ended but when it announced a second season I was so happy I couldn't wait. I truly hoped the first lead female in season one would return. As for me, I watched season 2 hoping to the very end that the first season lead female would return. I'm not saying season 2 lead female was not good in her acting. I don't think it's wise to switch lead actors as such. I understand the idea that the story began with Naksu soul or character but it was Mudoke the whole first season in love with UK. Kinda felt like there was no closure between UK and Mudoke. Sorta felt like when a guy leaves one relationship and goes to another because the other person is like the first or a sense of unfaithfulness. Oh well, that's my interpretation and we all have different opinions. In the future dramas I would appreciate not switching the person. The story may change but not the person please. First season I rate 10/10. Second season I rate 8/10. Thanks
I loved both seasons, S02 definitely put things into perspective and answered every question,but I never got over the S01 actress (Jung So -min) and the fact that she wasn't part of S02. Don't get me wrong, Go Yoon-jung was really sweet and great, but I couldn't connect. 😢 Best show ever though.
I can’t say it often enough, just how much I love this show. And I love the complete cast. Minus the female Doctor and of course the evil devil. These two need no names since they are both doomed😉. But all of the main characters are fantastic, and I hope to see a third season, with them in it, if they deem it so❤️🫶👍🏻

I love both the 1&2 I never think of repeating alchemy of soul never but this new season I mean season 2 got me repeating some episodes especially 7& 8 cause that has been the main theme for me on alchemy of soul and am going to repeat the whole season again after the final season 2 episodes 7&8 is my favorite episodes ❤
I loved S1 but S2 blew it out of the water for me! I have the highest praise for the cast & crew. 👏 👏👏 The Chemistry between LJW & GYJ are of the chart. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen such undeniable strong onscreen chemistry. Definitely was not ready to say goodbye after only 10 eps in S2. Hope to see more collaboration between these 2 actors. 🫶
Hello! I really missed Mu Deok in the second season. I wanted her character to be with Jang Uk! It took me a while before I finally accepted she wasn’t coming back. At the end of season 2 they went through all the main characters except the woman that played Mu Deok. So disappointing! Why did it take so long for Jin Mu to be gone! I hated him.
i dont understand why some people still hoping for a love story between mudeok and janguk.. janguk never ever love mudeok starting from the first episode in season one.. who he love is naksu the powefull assasin.. mudeok is madam jin daughter..
I am disappointed in the fact Mu didn’t return. This has taken the joy out of the show for me. They were in love, he still loves her. I like consistency not change in characters. I am having a hard time getting back into this show. Loved season one couldn’t wait for season 2 to learn the original gal wasn’t in this.
U might like the S2 but l found it so boring and it was really difficult for me to complete it. I assumed S2 to be much powerful and fight scenes between naksu and other making a masterpiece but they instead made it a lowkey love story , naksu an ordinary girl and so many kissing scenes with baseless romance in the name of chemistry to divert people's mind from story to chemistry, not very chaotic compare to S1. They knew 10 eps was not enough to make people forget abt the 2nd FL even if the soul is same but body is different. I belive there was no justice to S2 just felt like a different story with just Romance genes.They have no chemistry at all, it is just to promote S2

If they let the naksu revived in it's physical body although she is burned and become ashes, let bouyong live again since it never found her body in season 1 and UK not believed that she is already dead, seasons 2 is unbelievable, I really waited for seasons 2, but begin to be dissatisfied, it's not worth my wait. . .please let bouyoung and naksu be in seasons 2 since they have a different characters, and let UK disappear to have another seasons 3!

Personal preference and choice are ours as viewers. I do prefer Mudeok of 1st season. Superb acting, facial expressions say a lot. More spontaneous in her action , not forced, has palpable chemistry with Jang UK, Seo, and the crown prince. For some reason, I cant immerse myself in watching season 2. Too bland for me.
But the story is about Naksu . Muduk is a stolen body . And in that body was Naksu soul so it’s was never about Muduk but about Naksu. He was in love with the soul in season 1 now he is going to be in love with the body also

Yes....season 2 appeared boring. Because story had changed. It was post the tragic events that happened at season1 's end. So not many funny scenes were there. Iam okay with that. Iam not Jung Somin fan. Nor do I hate original naksu. But I didn't like how makers changed female lead's character completely. She was naksu after all. Even if there was memory loss, some personality traits should have been same. Or at least they should have made her transform into her original self sooner. I watched it till episode7. And her character looked like a new person even after 7 episodes, with just 3 episodes remaining. Or they should have taken some more time for making him fall in love with her. I started watching season2 immediately after finishing season1. So I felt like he fell for another girl very soon.🤣🤣🤣 There was 3 years leap but may be it was my fault. Anyways, even though I didn't finish the drama I am watching their promotional videos. They are quite fun.
