I've had a few questions and suggestions about this series so I'd like to clear some things up!
I recorded these at the weekend whilst at Football Manager headquarters. We obviously had limited time on the game and we were also legally restricted as to what we could do or show.
I decided I wanted to have a look at the new preset tactics and test them out - due to the time restriction I thought the best thing to do was to pick a team expected to finish mid-table in Bundesliga and play the first match of the season with each tactic (I maximised tactical familiarity) and see what sort of statistics each tactic produced - the result wasn't really that important in my eyes.
In an ideal world I would have holidayed a whole season with each tactic to see the results - this is something I am actually planning on doing when the Beta is released!
Really interesting look at all of these tactics. I'm a new subscriber and really looking forward to watching your content for FM19 - I cannot wait for the beta to come out. It's driving me crazy not being able to play it!

Don’t get 2 d mode. use sideline camera and you can see more of the tactic. dots running about a board is dull. just my thoughts
I assume this is what Zidane implies his system at his time in Madrid. As far as I can remember, attack ends from the wing by either Marcelo or Carval, crosses high or low then.. BOOM. A goal.
Sounds like it - I think Fergie used this in the early 2000s too

Ps don’t be too quick to say that it wasn’t the tactic because it was a personal foul. Some tactics are made to provoke personal fould in the oppo by pressing and high agression etc.
So classic man utd mode - i wish they would add some examples of teams who made the given tactic popular og did it to perfection. Perhaps even with player type recommendations.
Well they do have recommended roles for both tactic and player
But I agree they should have suggested teams, like:
Sarri's Chelsea - vertical tiki taka
Pep's Barca - tiki taka
Leicester City - direct counter
Klopp's Dortmund - gegenpressing
Mourinho's CL Chelsea - parking the bus ;)
Thanks. By the way i have a question. Is it oke or bad if you have a player on a not suited position for him where it becomes red coloured? And what about the effect on a player who is not playing in his best role? ...bcz i see it effects my decisions a lot wanting everyone on his best position/role...?
For a wing play tactic I'd of thought there would have been less focus of attack down the middle but I suppose when you have little possession you can only do what you can do. This tactic maybe better for a game when you think you're going to have the majority share of the play?
VAR was for your penalty incident.... the referee can deem that it wasn't a foul, and perhaps a dive...therefore a freekick to Dortmund
I feel like this game is going to be too easy now
