This was a great reaction! I don’t blame you for being caught off guard, a lot of people talk about Heartstopper like it’s all sunshine and rainbows, but it does deal with some heavy issues. There’s a sexual assault in the very first episode! It’s overall an optimistic show though with a happy ending guaranteed, so you don’t have to stress TOO much. I love that you pointed out that Charlie knows where to draw the line, I think that’s an underrated aspect of him as a character. He can be shy and has insecurities, but he also knows what he wants and does not back away from his convictions. I think the way he stood up to Ben and gave him a piece of his mind (before Ben attacked him :() was very brave.
