I love how this season taught us that this is a very well balanced game and character tiers are bullshit.

+James xzavian absolutely.. until recently I was checking if there was any character that has *not* been palyed by Pros.. and there was Kano and Jason.. then kano was played (very well) and the only character left was Jason. Goro was played succesfully even... sure there are top characters but that's because they are the mains of the best players and even those are beaten every now and then. Ya I'd definitely call it as balanced as you can get in a beat'em up that is still satisfying to play. Now in lower tier that is somewhat different, some zoning characters seem "unfair" but to behonest: they have weaknesses that you just gotta abuse, there is not a character that hasn't been succesfully beaten. If you disagree you probably didn't watch that many tournaments. Again, not a character that wasn't played succesfully at some point. Doesn't happen in LoL or Cs:Go where only 6 guns are really playable ;-)
Awkward Alan I have watched all of the tournaments and I see people in chose the same group of characters,I haven't seen scorpion hell fire win let alone make it to the semi finals of a tournament if you can show me evidence/link to the video until then I shall not change my views on this game

Scorpion Hellfire was played in the Grandfinals of Season 1. Yes he lost to the best MKX player there is, but he took rounds from Sonix Foxe's Erron Black. In fact all 3 variations of Scorpion were played in that tournament by Scar. Now that is only what I remember from the top of my head mind you.

does anyone here have any tips on how not to drop combos once you have them cornered and in the air, that's something I could really need help on
mr crapucinno I'm a newer player as well and what I've done is watch a lot of videos on the character and then go into practice mode and do them over and over and over and over again. I still drop some of them in a live match, but it's one of those things that will come with time.
Also, some people have natural talent when it comes to these types of games. I mean I've been playing this game for like 3 months straight for hours at a time and I would still consider myself a below average player.
It's not going to happen over night. Just keep working at it and soon enough you'll be able to do your corner combos with your eyes closed.
yeah what I need is practice bc I just jump straight into a match without practicing which is probably what's messing me up lol. but thank you for this advice dude it'll really help me out

The nerfed Tanya because of player complaints. Only thing that was op about her was the plus tonfa throw and armored launchers. They took everything to make her possibly competitive away. Nerfing the damage? Nerfing back 1 in kobu ? Taking away the 3,4 ender ? 🙄🙄

I will never forgive nether realm for over nerfing Tanya to such an existent that she’s rendered useless. There was so many broken characters left unchecked and for them to just screw over one character like that is so annoying.

The smaller one is the one making sound. The bigger one's only work is coverage and make sure that the smaller one doesn't drop when players move their head. As u see, it's wireless and it makes no sound.

I was rewatching and saw my comment from two years ago. I still think Pig of the Hut is the only player who plays like a bitch. It's frustrating to watch.
This game probably failed at a tournament level because of the corprotist approach to the presentation. Just look at a scene for something like Mahval Vs. Capcom 3, it's extreamly laid back (even at evo), the announcers were funny and engaging people who constantly cracked off color jokes, they didn't have all these over the top cringey intros for the players and monolouges by guys in black dress suits. The way they tried to present this game doesn't reflect the avreage fighting game fan at all, especially in something as brutal and fast paced as MKX. Great scene, great game, crap tournament presentation. Commentators with an ounce of hype would of done this game wonders in the pro circuit.
I know im late to this but mkx had a pretty good competitive scene. I mean goddam #1 was worth a hundred thousand. Plus ketchup and mustard are the best commentators around
