Working in the service industry is hard. With the tipping culture here in the US, my husband and I always try to show our appreciation for attentive without intrusive service. We also make sure to leave used dishes so the server doesn't struggle when cleaning up. We can all be kind and help. I'm always grateful when I don't have to cook. 🙂
I love the beautiful and good messages in the video, like being clean (I hope too that those who smoke throw their cigarette butts properly), being respectful and grateful to staff.. this video is kind of heartwarming..

You did well in your work. That reminded my mother taught us since little kids, to treat people from all walks of life with respect and love. My family always said 'Thank you' to staffs that served our table. We joked with them to ease their tension because we knew it's a tough work and floor staffs had to face all sorts of customer behaviours. Each time I came back from my travels I gave them little gifts. I really appreciated the staffs; first we're just customers, then we became friends. My relatives are in food business too. Though I didn't work in F & B but my sister did it as part-timer before. My heart aches seeing her came home late and listened to her stories of the kitchen and customers. Which ever type of working life you choose, most important that you enjoyed it no matter how difficult it was. As for your dream or ambition, just follow your instincts and guts! When your dream finalized, tell us and we'll visit and support you! 화이팅!
