OSRS has literally been copy pasting content from RS3 since its release. This is neither new nor unique, it's just rare that they actually acknowledge it because of fear OS players will throw a hissy fit about it.
I would of loved them to bring the noxious bow to the reward table, something with similar stats to the venator bow but instead of hitting multiple targets, shoots a web binding your target for a set amount of time

Makes absolutely no sense with some of these items. Excited for sure but shouldn’t a BIS amulet have a higher requirement to make? The boots look awesome but the stats could be better. I’m not expecting it to be a game changer but i’m not sure how useful they would be.
im a bit confused by the crafting requirement, does that mean that now there is absolutely no reason for irons to ever craft a torture? it doesnt make much sense to me that an objectively better amulet has a lower crafting requirement but idk
@@Ztaticify personally, i disagree, slayers my favorite skill so getting 92 wasnt even a grind for me. but im dreading just the thought of going even above my current 87 crafting. unless the drop rate for the new amulet is like 1/10k i would much prefer grinding for that. I guess others might have differing opinions though

Also, you’d still wanna get 99 for the craft cape tele so pushing 99 craft before rancor amulet may still be the play. Unless they make it an attachable to the amulet of torture (which I think would be a great idea)

Prepared to be disappointed. It's not going to be anything like RS3 Araxxor according to the JMods that have been posting in the thread. It's going to be MUCH easier and simplistic, just like all the other Slayer bosses. Huge waste of potential IMO. They should have just made a brand new boss and saved Araxxor for future content so they could make him hard as hell like he was in RS3.
I hope that Jagex buffs the other halberds sometime, since they are adding the noxious halberd. Halberds have really low DPS, because they are 7 tick weapons. The Noxious halberd looks like it will be a 5 tick weapon to avoid this issue. I used a DPS calculator, and against low defense targets, the mithril scimitar does more DPS than the dragon halberd, if both the dragon halberd, and mithril scimitar have some gear with strength bonus like barrows gloves. Against a 1 def target the iron scimitar and str ammy has almost the same dps as a rune hally, and str ammy. Therefore halberds need buffed.
Halberds do not need a buff. Reread the blog. The new noxious one is not only stronger then the crystal but has a venom chance, halberd melee range, 5 tick and not intended to compete with with current BiS gear.

My personal dislike of osrs is actually just the wilderness it's out of touch dog water and against the greater majority of the community to keep it a pvp zone. They constantly push updates on it even when the majority of players down vote it. Not to mention the toxic minority get away with breaking tos because it's the wilderness and risk blah blah blah. When they remove it like they did in rs3 then I'll actually give it the praise it should get otherwise

OSRS and RS3 share the world and most of the lore, they're basically parallel universes. It makes sense to share charcters/enemies between the games even if the mechanics aren't the exact same. Otherwise they would have to alter tons of characters and other lore stuff because they aren't 1-to-1 copy of their RS3 versions (e.g. all the Mahjarrat except a few, the Dragonkin, Nex, Seren). There is no plot to try to steal players from OS to 3, that's just a dumb conspiracy theory. The devs just thought "that's a cool concept/character/boss, let's use it"

i know it doesnt matter all that much, but the lore implications of Raksha just being there in Fossil Island will make way for so much random baggage from RS3, like the Codex existing somewhere in the dig site, or the existence of Shadow Anima, since that was the main reason why Raksha didn't just wake up and walk around on the top of Anacronia.
raxi was the best decent boss i learned on rs3 spooned the whole log at 420 kc. dont like the fact that os is locking it behind 92 slayer as someone whos not been playing os long enough to have it. good that its gonna be a different fight from rs3 though cause honestly its so easy when you learn mecs
Someone really likes spiders at the osrs team. Now I kind of wish Araxxi was an actual boss not slayer boss. Fair enough if they give it a hard mode. Glad to see them starting to kill off zenytes. End of the day, it's 98 craft req, which kind of shuts down progression chance. Kind of like smithing. I like both games and have no problem with content trade.
I think people will be too adddicted to bloodfury by the time this gets released and also that most newer tougher bosses still do some sort of chip damage even if it’s against or not against your overhead prayer, either they need to really juice the stats on the new ammy or let bloodshards be used on it

I think RS3 should also grab some content from OSRS, such as buying stuff with coins that you have in the bank instead of must having it in your pouch. I recently took a break from osrs and decided to try rs3.
Never forget that Araxxor/Araxxi was added to Runescape 3 during a weird time. First new boss after EoC if I recall correctly, and I still feel like its mechanics punish you in RS3 for trying to get too much DPS at the wrong time. EG, it's easier without invention. Shame it won't be as lucrative (as in, generating a gold sink for the item repair shop...!!!)
TBH I think they need to make Arraxor have 3 Different Phases (not too different), with EACH PHASE having different mechanics, Require Different Attack styles to fight, AND NOT BE ON A SEMI DAILY ROTATION (like it is in RS3) allow players to CHOOSE which phase they want to fight at any given time, and have them EACH be dropping a upgrade for Each of the 3 Combat Styles Zenyte Jewlerys (Tort/Torm/Anguish, with each phase having a INCREASED DROP CHANCE FOR ITS RESPECTIVE STYLES UNIQUE/UPGRADE however ANY PHASE can drop ANY UPGRADE/UNIQUE just had a LOWER DROP RATE... Alongside still the chance for ANY PHASE to drop the Boots/Halberd (Pieces?) etc. , as i believe this was a insanely cool idea for OSRS but just the rewards are poorly executed and if they dont want to be LAZY they can DESIGN 3 PHASES FOR ARRAXOR and have them Each from a Upgrade for the Zenyte Jewlery (with each different Phase having a INCREASED DROP CHANCE, however ANY PHASE COULD DROP ANY OF THE UPGRADE PIECES, JUST AT A LOWER DROP RATE, along with dropping the boots/halberd etc)... sorta how in RS3 it drops a upgrade for each attack style via the Weapons, I think they could make OSRS's version upgrade the attack styles via the Zenyte Jewlerys..... Sounds like hydra v2 to be honest…. But I disagree with making it easy it should be osrs first epic monster (not legendary) and should replace the 3 top tier level weapons with close counter parts that are 700m-1b instead of the wanted 1.5b+
OSRS died the moment Nightmare Zone came out. People complained and whined that OSRS was getting boring, despite the “no changes” thing they’ve been preaching. Now there’s a new landmass continuation and OSRS is becoming more and more like a private server. It’s literally RS3 but a severely dated combat system and graphics that a high schooler could make out of playdoh.

Yeah rax is 10 years old and even on release it was far from the hardest content rs3 offer of course it will be mid nowdays.
On release it was the hardest solo boss (although Vorago was much much harder challenge but it was group based)

Alongside still the chance for ANY PHASE to drop the Boots/Halberd (Pieces?) etc. , as i believe this was a insanely cool idea for OSRS but just the rewards are poorly executed and if they dont want to be LAZY they can DESIGN 3 PHASES FOR ARRAXOR and have them Each from a Upgrade for the Zenyte Jewlery (with each different Phase having a INCREASED DROP CHANCE, however ANY PHASE COULD DROP ANY OF THE UPGRADE PIECES, JUST AT A LOWER DROP RATE, along with dropping the boots/halberd etc)...
sorta how in RS3 it drops a upgrade for each attack style via the Weapons, I think they could make OSRS's version upgrade the attack styles via the Zenyte Jewlerys.....

Sounds like hydra v2 to be honest…. But I disagree with making it easy it should be osrs first epic monster (not legendary) and should replace the 3 top tier level weapons with close counter parts that are 700m-1b instead of the wanted 1.5b+

OSRS died the moment Nightmare Zone came out. People complained and whined that OSRS was getting boring, despite the “no changes” thing they’ve been preaching. Now there’s a new landmass continuation and OSRS is becoming more and more like a private server.
It’s literally RS3 but a severely dated combat system and graphics that a high schooler could make out of playdoh.
