Interesting as I find playing the flute on a very amateur and incompetent basis the left side of my lip which has an old stitched scar starts to leak when tired. I have just tried playing clamping it shut and offsetting the embouchure seeing this performance and it seems it may help. Given for most people the two sides of our face are not matched you wonder if the strength and shape of musculature may not be even and need an offset embouchure as opposed to rigidly central.
