Saw this parked in Abbey Road last week and I noticed that the side panels (the brabus body kit panels) are sealed with a kind of white sylicone all around that honestly looks awful on a car that costs a fortune. I'm pretty sure there's another way to stick them (and sealed them from water) without having that use that sylicone.
your right mate! It just how the body panels are placed on the car so that they stay rather than drilling into the bodywork! After a month it goes back to have all the edges filled down and softened and you wouldn't notice it! But totally agree with you during that stage it doesn't look very good! But it avoids drilling holes in the panels! Appreciate your comment!

I have always found it EXTREMELY pretentious of any tuning marque to replace the manufacturer's badge with their own on a car. Brabus did NOT make this car. They modified it. Underneath any modification they make to this car, it is still Mercedes. On the logbook (in the UK every car has government paperwork to help identify it), it is still a Mercedes. I don't care if Brabus replaced 75% of the parts on this car, it was based on a Mercedes and it remains a Mercedes. Almost every manufacturer has a performance division: Ford has Cosworth and Mountune. Mercedes has AMG. BMW produced the M-series. Vauxhall/Opel brought VXR to the table. Fiat owns Abarth. Citroen went with VTR. Nissan went sly and produced the Skyline, 350Z and 370Z. Audi has the S-line, and the RS for those who are truly mad. SHIT, they even managed to produce a performance Range Rover - the Sport HSE. Brabus have not earned the right to replace the company that actually manufactured the car. That right is retained by the designer, and that is the main reason I will not own a Brabus unless they agree to badge themselves AFTER Mercedes. The dream is a "Mercedes-Brabus C63 AMG".

I agree with you, but I heard a story from a tuner who got in trouble for keeping the original badge. The original manufacturer got pissed as the tuned car was 'ruined' and shouldn't wear the original manufacturer badge as they don't want to represent the 'ruined' car.
Omar Smith They actually takes the badges of as a part of an agreement with the manufacturers that the badge has to go when the engine was heavily modified. AMG doesn't have this as they are owned by Merc.

Nice car, however the Hood cover doesn't look like a genuine Brabus one.
The whole car was done by Brabus in Germany! The hood has just been colour coded and isn't exposed carbon fibre like the normal ones!

Any passenger in the rear seat will have to be careful then when stepping out, you could easily hurt yourself on the tailpipes when they're hot!

what do they do to the engine, do they change the internals to stronger parts or do they just put bigger turbos and change the ecu
They do replace some of the internals but a larger turbo and edu is also changed. The B850 has the larger V12 Engine!
