I am waiting to see what you have to say about this little guy. I have a room where even the Sonos One's are kind of over whelming and I am wondering if the Sonos Roam will be a solution. I know these are not shipping yet (end of March, maybe?). The Sonos Marketing Department seems to be "baiting the hook", and it is working; I am excited, but will wait until we hear from you regarding the Roam.

If you line out from the TV with an analog headphone out, then yes. If it is a line level out and not variable, you will have to adjust the volume manually.
Unfortunately no. UNLESS, your TV has variable headphone output and not just a line level output. The variable headphone out will then be able to adjust the levels fo output. In which case you can just max out the volume on the soundbar and you control the overall volume from TV.

They can work together but whether it’s perfect or not is another matter. Cos for long throw projector, it has to be the back. And your screen will be in the front. So you’ve got to run a pretty long cable to the soundbar.

Damn, you have to readjust your settings for expander/gate, your voice is being cutted horribly.
