    Mine just arrived in red today. It is so small, but I’m already getting big sounds from it. I’ve had this for an hour now and really love it already. I need to be away from home for 7 days at a time and this is perfect for taking up no space while I’m away with it

    I know you uploaded this video some while ago, but I was wondering what about getting a switch to connect the 2 coils in parallel to get a different clean tone? I think it may fit on that cavity you dig back there for the tone pot!

    I've had this guitar for a while, I love it dearly, but it is my first guitar, I fell in love with its looks over its practicality, and you're right, it does suffer from a lot of the issues you mentioned, particularly weight distribution. As my first guitar though, it also puts me in the position that I feel I need to keep practicing and get better at playing this one before I invest in yet another one. I guess I'm "playing on hard mode".

      Hah! Well it will be interesting to go the other way - maybe other guitars will feel a bit unnecessarily bulky to you after learning on a Traveler? Despite my criticisms, it's still coming on tour with me in November. :)

    I'm just in the process of evaluating it, and the thing I really miss is an armrest. With that added it would be perfect for my use case (traveling). Just wonder if it would be possible to add a custom one. Did you talk about that with Kev it it's possible? I'm also evaluating the Traveler guitar Speedster because of the armrest, but the damn thing hurts because the armrest is too short and the tip presses into the ribs.

      I didn't discuss that specifically with Kev, sorry. By armrest do you mean an attachment like the one at 2:26, but would stick out of the top instead? That would be very handy.

      @@DavidAddis Exactly. They have some models that do have an attachable armrest, like their Speedster or Pro Series ModX, but those are bad designed as the armrests are too short and their tip presses into the ribs. I really like the Ultra Light but for me it gets uncomfortable after some time because I like to rest my arm on the body and without armrest I have to actively hold my arm in place what is, well, uncomfortable. Will consult some local guitar builder about adding an armrest to the Ultra Light.
      Btw, cool video, super interesting.

    My Traveler Speedster has been awesome in four countries and six states, highly recommend the brand.

      That’s well Travelled! I think I will always be an Ibanez fanboy at heart, but I do love my Traveler for the convenience. 👍

      @@DavidAddis Same! If you watch my vids, the one I play most lately is an old Roadstar, detuned for chunky lows.

      Doesn't the tip of the armrest stick into your ribs? For me the armrest is too short and the tip hurts.

    Great video, but all that work may have been avoided with the Donner Hush X! Cheers!

      That guitar looks amazing, I probably would have got that if it was an option in 2021!

    How much did adding the volume knob cost?

    • @DavidAddis
      @DavidAddis  3 года назад +1

      It will all depend on who you ask and how quickly they can do the work, best to contact Kev directly if you want a quote from him. 🙂
