The introspection part totally blew me away, how damn seamless was that? He started, scaled, connected to and played inside the running production instance in less than an hour. Jesus, it would take me two weeks to do it with he JVM.
how about devs that are not in main continents, is there an 'easy way' to install flyo on a local datacenter, such as on a rented virtual machine so one can benefit from short latencies / French polinesia to usa ping = 150/180 ms, thanks,,,,
Looks amazing but I have no idea how this works. I'm interested in Fly but don't understand nodes and clusters. How is this different from deploying apps on Digital Ocean or Linode.
Digital Ocean/Linode machines are usually running in a single region. You can setup two different VMs in different regions and connect them together but that's usually cumbersome. Fly does that for you out of the box. Imagine there's an internet cable between your VM in region A and B in fly, and each "node" (each VM) can connect to another node because fly connects them together

Been having a hard time deciding between Phoenix and Rails for an app I want to build. Think this swayed me, awesome stuff

It's sick!
Show de Bola!
I don’t know if I am wrong but the price is at least $11/month (Shared CPU + Postgres)?

Minimal latency while streaming music to someone in another continent. Incredible!
Not a good tutorial and so complicated
This is some serious mega hot shit - #OhHellboyYeah! I always hoped that the days of Elixir/Erlang/Phoenix are still coming! 😻 🥳🎉 🇩🇪💙🇷🇺
