Just as a note in-case it helps others, even if you have picked up the collectible before you can hear a shimmering sound at its location, so you can confirm you are in the right spot. Also remember that on your minimap when you are close to collectibles in the world they appear as a magnifying glass icon.
There's a handful of bricks you get a lot more easily by way of using the jetpacks. #24 for instance, there's a jetpack on the ridge overlooking that town that drops you right on top of it

yes I know :) you don't need the jetpack for some. You can cheese some bricks without the jetpack!

nothing really, they are just collectibles. Collecting them gives you XP and Money.
