That scene was the absolute best, between Monica cracking up and Kayce trying to keep a straight face to Rip getting nervous about the ladies, while John himself is just trying not laugh at the absurdity of everything. Perfect *chefs kiss, I too hope it was improvised cause it was the best.

Beth learning to be respect summer was a major plot twist. Summer rightfully earned it facing Beth toe to toe.
This can actually be applied in a lot of areas in most peoples lives. Not necessarily to the extent of fighting physically ... but if you go toe-to-toe with certain people and stand your ground, show you have what it takes and deserve what you're fighting for, you often come out of it with more respect than you when in with. The key is knowing who to go up against, when and how far to push. Takes time to learn and figure out, but the results as you get older are well worth it.

Summer needed to be humbled. Her arrogance and judgmental nature is what got her ass kicked. And Rip kindly reminded Summer that you dont behave that way at someone else’s table when you’re a guest.
Beth is the character who needs humbling the most though.

This video was made perfectly. Showing scenes that didn’t involve them to add to the intensity. Kayce and his wife and son laughing. John dutton and ripp talking in worry. Jamie speech at the end. This show is insane. These two are funny together. The writers went so far with Summers character. Full throttle stereotyping. Forget the part where she said “how do you feel. Like I got hit by a truck. How bout you. Like I got hit by a prius” 😂

Summer at the dinner table was disrespectful in how she reacts to their way of eating. I understand she has her way of living, down to what she eats. Everyone has their right. However she is a long term guest in their house and if she doesn’t like the food, she doesn’t have to eat any of it. There are many people starving, homeless that would dream to sit at a table like that and eat all they could to fill their bellies. Thanks for uploading.

You can be vegan without shaming others for eating meat or trying to show some level of superiority. A simple “I’m vegan; what here can I have” is all that’s needed.
Fun fact that was the actual chef that was preparing food for the crew and cast of the show really an actor but I think he did a fabulous job!

Maybe it's just me... but can someone please explain the relevance of Summer's character in the series as a whole? Yes, the dialogue between her and Beth is funny, but Beth has that same battle of wits with most people on the show. I thought John taking an interest in her might lead to her helping him as governor appeal to more voters, but that didn't happen. She's kind of just there to be another fling for John, but I like his relationship with Governor Perry more. I noticed that the actress who plays Summer is married to one of the directors/producers, and so that's why I assumed she got into the show.
The hardest thing for me to believe is that anyone would find marriage to Rip stifling and unsatisfying. Has Summer seen him and the way he treats people he cares about!?
Rip standing by and letting then find a common place, no matter how small the domain overlap, is a brilliant piece of this scene. He understand what needed to happen now... or it was going to happen later with more BS chaos thrown by both of them into the homestead before it hit again. Let them work it out. This is the back alley fight you have outside a bar and whats done is done. Move on.
I love and am maddened by Beth but she never got over her childhood moment riding with her mother. Summer gives interesting angles to the YSR... and she isn't family but she does care about JD... and not for his fridge, bedroom, or roof.
It was awesome that Rip said to John should he chk on the women and John said we know whats happening out there... you just knew... That back street brawl was phenomenal 👏
Rip's done this before. It's the same way they handled things between Lloyd and Walker. In the arena until someone gives up. The cowboy way.
I see a weird but awesome friendship building here and I hope the run with it. I think Beth and Summer could actually be a great team for the ranch.
Fighting hand to hand is just a relief valve for all the rage that comes from being at that ranch. It works, kinda.

In Asia, we rarely ate everything or ask for anything when we're the guests or hosts. The hosts prioritize the guests as hospitality while the guests accept respectfully anything that was served as a respect (except allergic)
It's so foreign to me that in the West, she would demand that acting like she's the one who fed them their whole lives to grown adults in family dinner.
If you're vegan, then just drink water or just leave.

I cannot imagine the hosts being this rude. It feels very western to be that they ignored their guests dietary restrictions like that. If my Indian mom realised she had cooked food a guest cannot eat - she would be mortified. We firmly believe in the “guest is god” type behaviour. I am surprised Americans hosts are that rude

I wanted it to be better but we've reached the limits of the writer of the show. IE. Just out of the blue he magically becomes governor??? It's why critics panned the latest season.
@@leachimy24 I absolutely agree that there was a ridiculous amount of killing. No way that would have been allowed to happen but that wasn't what the show was about. But with each episode, it just gradually got stagnant. How many different groups come to town to buy the land and the same drama plays out?
Where it got worse for me was ironically one of the most practical parts of the series. Listening to beth talk costner through the numbers and pointing out that he is a stupid businessman. It reminded me when there was that offer for one of the groups wanting his land for $500 million. This show COULD get interesting again if they changed their business model as she suggested. THAT is where the show should go if it wants to remain interesting.
