FINISHING All My Craft Kits (Pt. 2)

- Hey guys! So, I've had this collection of craft kits lying around in my art room for YEARS. I think it's finally time for me to put them to use. Today, I am going to FINISH testing ALL of the craft kits I have in my art room at once. Last week I made window hangers, DIY bath bombs/sugar bomb decorating, DIY air brush for a "T-Shirt Makeover," and a bowl entirely out of glitter. This week I'm going to tackle the DIY Tea Set, The sewing kit, and the Crayon Melter by Crayola. Wish me luck!

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 28 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try).

Hey Moriah! I'm just letting you know that I had a very similar kit to the ceramics teacups you have! So, basically, they weren't made to be painted with acrylic. Those crappy dried out paints are supposed to be ceramic paint, they adhere much better, and are set through baking the pieces! It also helps you to be able to actually use your little cups, since it's washable. Just letting you know in case you ever wanna do that again! I'd love to see you painting more ceramics. :)❤❤❤
Yes, but there is a way that you can use acrylic paint for ceramic and it is before the piece gets glazed, but has already been fired. I painted on multiple ceramic pieces with acrylic paint when they were bisques and it works great. However, if you do it this way, you must use an acrylic paint sealant or put a clear glaze over them (I have never tried the latter so I'm not sure if it works fine).

Maybe not wooden but like actual proper painting-ceramic stuff 😂
I suggested wooden because I know Moriah likes painting on wood. If she painted on ceramic, she'd need to paint with ceramic paint for it to work. If she painted a tea set with acrylic, I doubt that tea set would be able to safely use.

i have the same teakit and painted it 2 years ago and it was nice. i want to finish it when i find it again because we moved 2 times and i dont know where all my stuff is. i made nice pastel rainbows and added some of my own paint so that it was nicer ( i mixed the bad paint with my good acrylic paints and used a lot of white )

@@RealMiarae she asks for reminders of annual videos, but because she was pregnant this summer, she was pre-filming videos (to lighten her work load after giving birth) so she was a bit too far ahead by the time the reminders came in, her audience loves every series she has, probably almost as much because of traditions as the content!

Wow, the mini pineapple teapot I bought at a thrift store 10 years ago is finally relevant. The mini fruit tea set was definitely a slay!

I finally make a project and look around.

I’d love to see another tea set made with something more paint friendly. I recently saw & fell in love with some citrus and watermelon tea cups so I was excited when you chose that theme! It’s adorable, but it would still be great to see a more detailed tea set!

The peach tea pot?!?!?! Uuughhhhhh, I have an obsession over kitchenware looking like food, so I was not ready to see such cute pot. The ser you made is insanely cuuuuuute
I think it would be really cool if you made a video making custom slimes inspired by your characters, for example: "Pickle slime " green cloud slime with pastel rainbow charms to resemble pickle's spots and a mild apple sent (this is just an example) and if they turn out good eventually sell them at your shop.

Update: I messaged my grandma a picture of it and she said she definitely remembered. Coincidentally she was also going through some stuff from her storage and found it 😂 still perfectly intact about 20 years later, not a single dish missing (^ω^)

For the crayon melter, when she was done with the ice cream, she could of used wax paper and an iron to smooth the surface. If she is careful, it could work!

Hey Moriah! I know you probably won’t see this but if you don’t like the lumpy look of the melted crayons, you could try painting with it on glass and do the process backwards. Ex: Line work of the ice cream first, then coloring in the ice cream, then line work of the cone, then collie in the cone. When you flip the glass over you should be left with an ice cream! Just an idea, 5:59 I’ve seen it done with paint.

She should do a "Yearbook" and put all ALLLLLL Of her characters in it and put like all the grades in it example; Pre-k all the way to seniors or college people.and make sections of like "Best foods" or "best drinks" or "Hottest couple" "Funniest person" ect. The crayon meltor art is actually so good. Iv seen sooooo much worse because it's hard to work with but you actually made something really decent with how difficult that thing is to use

Honestly, Moriah has always been my safe space to be my fun cartoon and pastel self (if that makes sense haha). I’m a teenager, and my mom is against me owning anything that seems kiddish (sadly that’s anything ME related). So I can’t have Cuepy or any of the other OG stuffed animals 😭
