  • What would you do if you got a call from the U.S. Government offering you thousands of dollars?
All you have to do is pay a fee up-front.
Does it sound like a "good deal" - or a "clever scam"?

So, if a $7,000 grant requires an upfront fee of $300.00, why can't they just take the $300.00 out of the $7,000 grant and send the lucky recipient $6,700? LOL

You're sending it to Nepal. Shouldn't that have been a flaming red flag?

Someone just called with a thick accent and said that I was chosen to recieve a $9,000 government grant. I told them that I would not give out personal information on the phone. He said he is from the federal government. I became suspicious and told him that if it were legiit to send me a check. He said he would talk to his supervisor and call back, but has not. I feel this is a scam. You do not get grants you did not apply for right?
