How does he deliver such a banquet of spiritual food without notes, without missing a beat, without rushing, drawing out the richness of Gods word to the point of thinking to myself. Lord I am not worthy to receive this banquet but only say the word... I will tell you how. The same God who performed the miracle in this wedding is the same God who speaks through His servant priest. Phenomenal 😢
This is one of the most beautiful and powerful sermons I have ever listened to. It’s come just at the right moment, as I am going back (not without struggle) to Faith after being an atheist for 6-7 years. I have also offered my doubts and skepticism and struggle with regard to these matters to God. I hope I haven’t offended Him by doing this. When I cannot believe, or fully believe, it is a thing I cannot do, and I still offer it to God, hoping and praying that He is indeed real, and will help me get closer and closer to Him. Ave Maria and Glory to Jesus who is God. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen
The change in the relationship I have with my former spouse has improved greatly since we started listening to this channel. Father Ripperger has really showed him my virtues. He has wept because he didn't see it before. Such great perspective.
What an incredible sermon. I've recently returned to Mass after a long, long, long time. Reacquainting myself with the faith. Sermons like this are simply wonderful. Food for the soul. Thank you.
Thank you Fr. Gillespie. This is by far, the most inspiring homily on the wedding feast of cana., starting with the beauty of the sign of the cross. I return to it often. God bless Fr. Gillespie.
I have so much more knowledge on Our Mother. I will invite our Mother into my life more often. I have been so enlightened just by this gospel. Thank you Fr Hugo
I’ve watched this 10 times and every time God reveals more love and wisdom. Gods love is overwhelming especially in comparison to my unworthiness. Thank you Lord.
After listening to the whole breaking down of this gospel passage,I realized that Fr Hugh is one those servants who filled up our empty gallons with water to the brim! Thank you Fr Hugh! The way he has explained and gave meaning to every word shows how deeply it has touched his life n now ours! Mother Mary had been one of the invitees earlier but from now ,on my special invitee as she takes on a role in my life,to tell Jesus "they have no wine" and Jesus through the Holy Spirit transforms this water into the most awesome wine at her request/appeal!
Fr Gillespie, please consider getting more into the digital age. Your Sermons are fantastic, leaving quite a understanding that I/we can share with others. I for one wish to listen/learn more from you.....to share. Thank you and God and Mary Bless you
God bless you Father! Fantastic teaching: so nuanced, detailed, and simple, and Powerful! Related so well to each one of our lives. Very humbling and very beautiful. Our Lady's servant let's the light of The Holy Spirit shine through so brightly, to enlighten us all. Keep up the good work Father, and all in St Theresa's in Texas! Christ is King forever: Our Blessed Mother His ever-loving Queen. Ave Maria.
excellent delivery of the gospel reading. Gives us a much better understanding of how to connect with Blessed Mary, Jesus and Our Father in our prayer life.
Praise the Lord and thank be to God. Today is Nov. 10, 2022 I feel very blessed with the Holy Spirit that had guided me to this awesome homily by Fr. Hugh Gillespie. It’s truly a miracle that Our Lady always know what I need and lead me to His Divine Son to seek and Thirst more for Our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you father for such a fantastic and powerful preaching, very well delivered to help me relate in my daily life. Thank you (St. Thérèse my patron saint) St. Theresa’s in Texas for sharing this very inspiring homily. Will share with my fellow Catholics. God bless us all and pray for peace on earth.🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Father. Today only i comes to know, putting cross on the forehead, lips, and in the heart and it is very nise you come out of the alter and giveing message , from India i thank you very much keep it up.
I honestly believe that if The mother of God could through my sister and parents (deceased) send me incontrovertible proof TO ME A SINNER.! Then something big is coming ! I urge everyone to return to mass ! I personally attend an SSPX Catholic mass (amazingly here in Colton calif)!
Our Lady always has an eye for the most important things in life, so brilliant. I never knew the importance of the drinks at weddings. I wish I had a multitude of "Marys" at my wedding even though it contained no alcoholic drinks. However, there were a few guests that asked for a virgin bloody Mary. I dont even know what that is.
It is important to note: 30:11- 30:18 Where Fr. Says "We don't need to sugar coat this, Jesus is rude here" This is NOT true. In 1 John 4:16 "...God Is Love..." And again 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 "...Love is NEVER rude...". Therefore it is impossible for Jesus to be rude to his Mother Mary Because God is Perfect and in Him [God] no sin is found.
@Mark Father Gillespie is a wonderful and committed priest who is a true servant of Mary. You need to ask him personally why he interpreted Jesus words in that way and not judge him as a "poorly informed priest". Give him the grace of the opportunity to expound and be careful with how you publicly describe his ordination. I too have the same question, but am confident he will have a well informed answer for his reasoning during that talk. He doesn't go around the country encouraging and teaching on Consecration to Jesus through Mary with a poor theology of Mary and scripture.
Setting a wedding on Marian month is the same as honoring and inviting the Blessed Virgin Mary in your wedding just like how she was invited in the wedding in Cana.
Glamygirlie ggogle onto Stephanie Pacheco oct.21- where she explains in her way, a different and more acceptable response from Jesus to His Mother. Other translations differ completely, and the term” woman” was still in use barely 100 years ago; there’s a lot of confusion re- some passages. This one also puzzled me, but sadly, the only satisfactory response I read long ago, has nearly slipped from my memory. My understanding of it was, that there is no age gap, no separation, no distance whatever, between His sacred heart and His mother’s. Jesus fully understood and accepted His dear mothers request, otherwise she would have felt quite offended. She was not, in fact, she walked over to the servants and quietly told them to do ‘as He says’. Very interesting homily just the same. God bless.
It is not rude. When Jesus said "woman", He was pointing to the woman of Genesis 3:15. The woman who shall crush the serpent's head. He is pointing to her role in our salvation.
Technically, I believe "Do whatever He tells you" were the last words the Holy Ghost inspired the writers of the Gospel to record Our Lady speaking. Our Lady's true last words before her dormition and assumption are unknown. That the Holy Ghost left those wotds to us as her final words in scripture is even more to Father's point. We need to herd them.

Jesus was Mary's son. She knows her son. Why would she have to go the route that we who have not seen Christ go?
