Nox is king after all. This pirate player is just boring af but id like to see him play another character because its hard to tell how good he actually is. Before ccu i went grandmaster on xbox only using highlander. Just based on his pirate plays i think with a month of training and getting my reactions back id say even i was on the same lvl skillwise with my only disadvantage being to play less. And to be frank id put myself above average borderline good but still far from being fit for playing against someone like nox.
So on one hand i think he has to be rlly good on the other hes playing rlly clunky and won most his matches because of his character.
Although I’m sure everybody has a sort of dislike for pirate, this was definitely one of the most captivating duels imo, I wasn’t sure of who was going to win through the entire video

When you get read through your 50/50’s. Personally why I enjoy Knox’s gameplay, plays like a true counterattacker. Definitely insane to watch how both dealt with each other.
I will admit this was a really good fight.i was wanting nox to win the whole time! Nox and the pirate both showed how they could adapt to eachothers playstyle. I remember when nox was undefeated for so long then the gryphon beat him haha. Now for the pirate everyone will remember the great nox beating him lol. Ggs guys very entertaining match!!!

Anyone ever think about how technically if all characters were balanced then shouldn't the number 1 players who main the original 12 characters be the best, because for example assuming they were an Orochi main from day one they would have an extra few years experience on the character than a Pirate main, despite them both being rep 70. Also, makes you wonder what rep they would be if there was no cap?
Experience on one character doesn’t make you a more skilled player though. Jakobiyashe is one of the best competitive players on Xbox. Nox Argentum is one of the best ranked duelists on Xbox. This was less a match of character kits and more of 2 skilled players going at it.

@Ninja JDM yep, I'm at 49 currently and when I played with a friend who was 297 in brawls, we matched 2 guys tht were also grouped up at rep 15 and rep 638, I had a harder time with the rep 15, and out of curiosity I message the 638 saying "gg n what did you do to get the high rep u did", I was expecting to hear how u grind 1 hero super fast but he said that until his last 4 reps he earned he only played against AI.
Which playing against AI even lv3 bots, isn't going to prepare u as well as an actual player will.
If the pirate had continued making feints in the last rounds I think he would have beaten Nox, but Nox got nervous and the pirate didn't know how to react, he got carried away and shot combinations without feints and Nox took the opportunity to parry and beat him. The pirate could not stand the pressure imposed on him by a nervous Nox. The game is entertaining, they have similar levels

I’m glad Orochi won honestly. I’ve been watching the #1 ranked pirate videos and it just seems so unfair. Like, I’m sure he’s a good player, but he is playing an over power a** hero so it just seems cheap. Meu main é pirata, e bem, olhando este oroshi jogar, se fosse eu no lugar deste pirata eu não teria sanidade mental o suficiente para manter tanta qualidade durante tantas partidas.
E não é apenas sobre eu fazer spams de imbloqueaveis, isto eu continuaria fazendo, me refiro a defesas e esquivas e contra ataques, este pirata soube se adaptar muito bem defendeu e atacou, mas este oroshi estava simplesmente endemoniado, seus dedos depois deste duelo tiveram que ser amputados.

Meanwhile... In the highest skill 1v1 matches... It's one of the hardest things to beat when utilized well.
Dodge atks and neutral orange atks are the best moves in this game.

building a character's moveset around a hyper armor, tracking, 50/50 opener baffles me. Pirate moved so far away from the original idea of For honor that utilizes distance as a tool of both defense and offense.
Nox is just a god. The fact that he didn’t get hit by 3/4 of the pirates unblockables is crazy considering how much the pirate was spamming all of them

For Pirate well... I despise her for a reason : her skill cap is like raider : super low. Other S tier Characters are much harder to play very well, like Musha.

The unblockable can be interrupted after gunshot. Safer to skip gunshot and go straight into unblockable

Only reason? Bro, did you not see him partying most of the unblockables in the end? That’s what happens when you rely on 50/50’s. Also roach’s dodge cancel can be dealt with by parries or just vary your attacks if you get deflected.
