      A mask would definitely be required for this. The spores will go EVERYWHERE. He probably should deep clean the place as well.

    I love how you always have different rugs in different conditions. People always comment and say you’re dirtying the rugs yourself because they look the same level of dirty but they aren’t watching your channel because that’s just not true.

      People also don't seem to get just how dirty rugs can get in a rather short amount of time. Multiple members of my family would store unused rugs rolled up on the side of the house under an awning that would keep a car out of the rain. They all still got pretty gross just with binsects and dirty getting blown in for a few years. Never this bad, but I've also seen a hoarder house where I imagine twice as many rugs could get much worse.

    It took a good ten minutes before I could actually get an idea of the color and pattern of this rug. I love it. It amazes me, these aren’t cheap Walmart rugs, these are real wool rugs chunked out side like they are paper. Love what you do with these rescued pieces of art.

    Dang, that's gotta be one of the moldiest rugs you tackled yet on the channel. Great work restoring it to cleanliness and beauty! (side note: I am very glad that you wear protective equipment when dealing with mold, not worth risking your health and it's definitely better to protect it!)

    Fantastic clean!!!
    Normally you can start seeing the pattern after the first scrub by Dirt Reynolds......but this time the pattern did not emerge until the first scraping.

    just a small question being a new viewer. why you stopped showing what you were using and why you were using that method or solution? it was really knowledgeable , being able to know how certain solutions work with certain carpets and also some stain removers. I know your audience already knows the procedure but that texts were really good in understanding how you perceive different and tough rugs differently. And yess love your videos❤️❤️

    Hi James, big fan of your work. Keep up the good job you keep doing!
    Question: would there be any benefit to first [Protima] “scraping” the caked-on soiling after the first round of soaking? … As opposed to applying detergent and shampooing right away? In my world of detailing cars we always remove as much surface debris as possible before agitating mechanically.
