Anyone else want a crossover between this show and Scooby Doo all of a sudden? If someone did that, they could probably even throw in the 60's fantastic four cartoon as well. They were all made by CN, and I would love it.
Funnily enough, that's kind of why I looked this up. I've been thinking about what would be good crossover material for Scooby-Doo (there's a whole series - two, technically - of crossover comics) and this show came to mind.

The firebird is the closest thing we got to Rodan since Hannah Barbera is not allowed to have any other toho monsters in the show due to copyright concerns.
I honestly think Scrappy is underrated. Yes he was a questionable fit early on, but look at his performance in Boo Brothers or Reluctant Werewolf. Heck, he even managed to provide about the only decent character development in Scooby's Apocalypse, which outside of his arc was literally a complete lab accident run amok.

I like how Godzilla in this cartoon is an ally of humans instead of an enemy. But when did our heroes meet him and Godzooky for the first time? Does this series have an origin story?
Ngl I found this episode kinda disturbing the first time; I mean, the Firebird is just an animal minding her own business until being drawn out and provoked by Godzilla. Then she finds somewhere safe to reproduce like any creature would. And is threatened by Godzilla again, resulting in another fight. Then Firebird flees underwater, in a kinda foolish last ditch attempt at escape, and hides in a cave, only for Godzilla to seal the cave with rocks and essentially drown/starve her in there. Grim way to die 💀

Japan is better than America in most ways but their copyright laws are a fuckin' nightmare. If you thought Disney were Copyright Nazis, Japanese companies have that turned up to 11. You can't even take pictures of themed food over there due to copyright. It's insane.

During the showa era the americans saw the atomic breath as fire breath sincenthey did not exactly know what it was, also the lazer eyes is because it is easier to animate.

Watched this as a kid, and as now, completely bummed it never used the Godzilla roar or atomic breath.

People think that godzooky is the scrappy Doo of the series, but he's more like the van. The kid is scrappy.
