Thank you, she was far more relaxed which is odd, but Sienna has always been a strange one. 🤣 Must be something to do with the pressure of the contact, I will continue to try and figure it out.
She licks the right side of her mouth. I've always had the sense that it is her mouth that is bothering her. I know you lunge her with the tack on but she is in control of how much pressure is going on that side of her mouth when you are not controlling the reins. When you use one rein she can sort of do the same and keep the right side of the bit less pressure. Have you tested her with no bit? Just a thought.
Yes have ridden her with no bit and she was a little bit less tongue lolling, but didn’t stop completely. She also rolls her tongue daily when she waiting for me to feed her or I’m mucking out. She does it when bored, wanting my attention along with the riding. I do agree that it’s a pressure thing. I trust my dentist and he’s triple checked her teeth so I know it’s not teeth related. She’s never had sore corners of her mouth. I just wonder if it’s connected to something that took place when she was broken in and she’s holding tension from back then. It’s so hard to know what she is trying to indicate. Maybe also a habit from previous discomfort 🤷♀️
Immediately jealous of your extended turnout. And field maintenance. We had our guy book to spread and harrow this weekend but I think it's going to be too wet again after that mushy snow
She looked more relaxed when you rode her one handed. Beautiful photo

She looked good - probably good that she is underpowered so she can find balance and relaxation, you can always add the forward and power later 😊
Thank you ☺️

I think turnout is coming to an end if this weekends storm brings lots of rain 😫.
@EJMEQUESTRIAN ah yes our good friend Birt is coming to ruin everything 😂
My horse rolls his tongue when stressed. He's not a fan of some men. All the men he has liked, have been super nice.
Bless him, I know quite a few horses that don’t like men.
